Introduction To Your Content Management System Thank you for purchasing a Content Management System (CMS) from Unitel Direct. A service that allows us to provide you with the bespoke design you desire, but giving you the freedom and control of applying amendments yourself to the content and images. The CMS allows you to add and remove text, images and photo galleries of your choice, simply by uploading images from your computer or from direct URL links from the internet. 3

Logging In We will provide you with a login for your CMS. The URL you will need to visit: http://www.<your website.com>/wp-admin/ On completion of the design, you will be sent a login via email containing the information you require. 4

Page Management You can add, remove and amend pages using the CMS. These will then be visible on your website's navigation. However, some website designs are compiled with a defined number of links, especially if the navigation is at the top of your website. This may disrupt the layout of your new website. If in doubt, please contact Technical Support for further assistance. Adding Pages See image below, there are two ways for you to add new pages to your website. 1. Select 'Pages' from the navigation on the left. 2. Select 'Add New' from either the top or the left as outlined below. Please bare in mind, because our designs are unique to you, the navigation may not show your new pages. If this is the case, we recommend linking to your new page from the content on another page. 5

Managing Pages Once your pages have been created. You have the option to edit them again and also remove unwanted pages. Simply click on the page name to make further amendments and get back to the above screenshot. 6

Removing Pages 1. Click the check box next to the unwanted page's title in the Page list. 2. Click the 'Bulk Actions' drop down and select 'Move To Trash'. 3. Click 'Apply'. 7

Adding Text, Images and Applying Formatting Once you have created your page, added text is as simple as clicking your cursor within the box and typing. You can format the text using the bottom as outlined below. Referring to the image above, the highlighted area at the top of the picture, by clicking the square, it will prompt you to select the destination of where you wish to pull the image from, whether it be from your computer or from the internet. General and commonly used styles have been defined within the stylesheet used to design your website/blog. Below is an array of icons called your 'Kitchen Sink'. These allow you to manipulate the text, and add media. If you have used Microsoft Word then you may be familiar with this. Styles such as headers, paragraphs, lists and tables are available for use within your CMS. Also styling for images, such as borders. 8

Image Gallery If you want to display a large amount of images, then a Gallery is the best way to display these. We may have already been provided with one with the design we have provided you with. But here you will be provided with the information you need to both create and manage galleries on your website. 9

Creating A New Gallery Firstly, name your gallery. Before proceeding further, you will need to copy and paste the name of the gallery, as indicated by the red circle at the top of the second screenshot. This is to be pasted into the page your wish for the new gallery to appear, eg. [nggallery id=1] 10

Adding New Images To An Existing Gallery This is completed the same way as second stage above. Simple choose the location of the new images, and then select the gallery you wish to add it to. 11

Changing The Order Of Gallery Images Firstly, select the gallery you wish to edit (see screenshot below) You can drag the images into any order you like, or select on of the top standard options, such are date order, name order...etc... 12

Removing Unwanted Images From Existing Gallery This can be done within the 'manage gallery' area. Select the tick boxes next to the images you want to remove, and then choose 'Delete Images' as outlined below, and click 'Apply': 13

Use of HTML In Your Content Management System If you are savvy website editor, you can take advantage of the HTML edit function. This allows you to edit and compile the content of the page or post using this method eg, creating tables and applying inline styling. If you are unsure, you should continue to edit your website/blog in visual mode. 14
