You also get enhanced 9-1-1, which displays your name and address directly to emergency operators in your local municipal emergency response dispatch centre. More for Your Money The best part, every Seaside Communications phone plan comes with calling features in addition to the great service you'll save up to $300 per year on your total phone bill! Keep Your Current Phones and Phone Number When you switch to Seaside Communications phone service, you can keep your current phones along with your number. A new phone number is also available at no extra cost. Long Distance Options Seaside Communications offers competitive long distance rates with its telephone service. Third party Long Distance Carriers will not work with Seaside Phone service. International Phone Calls Seaside Communications offers competitive long distance rates for International Calls. Please contact a CSR at 611 (from a Seaside Communications telephone) or call 539-6250 Phone service billing Your Seaside Phone bill will clearly outline charges made during the billing period including local service, long distance charges, operator-assisted charges and taxes. Your local service is billed one month in advance. Long distance, directory assistance and operator-assisted calls are billed as incurred. If you have any questions regarding your bill, please call a Seaside Communications CSR by dialing 611 on your Seaside Telephone or 539-6250. Adding Seaside Phone services If you would like to add additional services to your Seaside Communications phone service, all you would need to do is phone 611 (from a Seaside Telephone) or 539-6250 and speak to a CSR. Blocking Telemarketers The CRTC has created a do not call list which telemarketing companies must observe in most situations. Your Seaside Phone number in the local phone book If you choose to have your phone number published then it will be listed in the residential section of the white pages in the same phone book you are use to seeing. Seaside Phone requirements If you are transferring your current phone number to Seaside Communications Telephone we ask you to bring in a bill from your current provider that clearly displays your billing address. If you want a new Seaside Communications telephone nothing is needed. Intercoms and alarm system support Seaside technicians are professionally trained to set up your Seaside phone service to work with your current alarm system and intercom system. Service Interruptions Seaside Phone is completely separate from Seaside Internet and is given the highest level of priority, therefore, in most instances if there is a disrruption in Seaside Internet, Seaside Phone should remain unaffected. If your residence has a power outage, Seaside Internet will be interrupted, however, your Seaside phone service has a battery back up and the service should remain active. This means as long as you have a telephone that is not cordless you will be able to make and receive calls without issue. If, however, your cable line is no longer physically connected, for whatever reason, it would impact Seaside TV, Internet, and phones from working properly.
9-1-1 Emergency Service 911 Access When you dial 9-1-1 your call is automatically routed directly to the Public Service Answering Point. A standard government service fee for this service appears on your monthly bill. Activating 9-1-1 services Once the installation of Seaside Phone is completed in your home or residence your 9-1-1 service will be active for you. Proper 9-1-1 information with my Seaside Phone Seaside Communications does periodic 9-1-1 tests to verify all the information regarding their customers is accuract and up to date. This information is then sent to the Public Safety Answering Point.
Seaside phone installation Installation and transfer from your current provider Transferring from your current provider to Seaside Phone service will take at least 10 business days for the installation to occur. Multiple phone handsets with Seaside Phone Seaside phone service supports multiple phones, both wired and wireless. When switching to Seaside Phone service there is virtually no change required in the wiring of your home or residence. Existing phone jacks Seaside Phone service will support all current working jacks in your home or residence. There is no charge for installation or upgrading of current phone jacks. Unlisted phone number With Seside Phone service having your phone number unlisted is only $3.95 per month. This means your number will not be published in the local phone directory and will not be available at directory assistance, however, the phone number will still be submitted for 9-1-1 service.
