Introduction Overview EBS Global Access (GA) leverages the public internet for deployment, allowing an alternative means of accessing the EBS Spot, precious metals and NDF markets. This user guide covers the functionality a Dealer must know to trade on the EBS Global Access system. 1 A trading floor may have one or more EBS Workstations, each trading multiple currency pairs, NDFs or precious metals. EBS Global Access supports simultaneous trading of up to 11 pairs and a trading floor may be located anywhere. The EBS Global Access dealing system accepts prices from any authorized Dealer. These prices collectively are known as the EBS Spot market. Dealers select EBS currency pairs to appear in their Price panels, available for trading and for tracking in the EBS Deals panel. Each trading floor has administrative functions handled by a Trading Floor Administrator (TFA). These functions include establishing a trading floor profile, setting counterparty credit limits and administrative maintenance required before trading can commence. A separate document, entitled EBS Global Access Trading Floor Administrator User Guide, describes TFA administrative functions. The EBS Global Access Installation ICAP Customer Support will provide documentation and support required for a new Global Access installation. Documents include: EBS Global Access Minimum Requirements EBS Global Access Security Overview EBS Global Access Proxy and Firewall Support EBS Global Access Installation Guide 5

Getting Started Signing On The initial login sequence for first-time users is covered in an email sent by ICAP Customer Support. Users must log in and establish their credentials with a separate security application prior to using EBS Global Access for the first time. You must click on the I Accept button of the EBS Spot Terms of Use Acknowledgement screen to continue and log in. Clicking on I Do Not Accept will close the application and you will not be able to trade. The Successful Sign On message appears. It contains information including: User Profile information Credit information (floors needing credit decisions, status of conversion rates. System messages. Successful Sign On My Settings Home 6

The My Settings tab contains links to the My Setting Home, Trader Profile, Manage Currency Pairs, Deal Query, Value Date Calendar, and the Keypad Setup tabs. My Settings Home Page The My Settings Home page presents all of the tabs leading to different components of the application. It also includes links to areas where some of the most common procedures are performed. Getting Started Helpful Links View the EBS Spot Now Help document (PDF) Manage your trading profile Manage your currency pair parameters Manage keypad setup Download Today s Deals Perform a Deal Query for deals you ve done Edit how you work the balance on trades Hide/Show the Big Figure on Price Panels Turn on/off Price Validation Value Date Calendar 7

Trader Profile From the My Settings Home, click on the Trader Profile tab. The Trader Profile screen opens and enables the Trader to customize some of the features and displays parameters shown on the EBS Spot Global Access Trading App. Trader Profile - Customization Basic parameters help to determine how certain elements of the EBS Spot Trading App appear on screen. Two areas address most of the parameters that go to create a Trader s profile: the Work the Balance Default method, and a basic trading behavior parameters section. An additional link, Manage Currency Pair Settings, allows further customization of currency pair display for the Trader. A Trader may access and modify their Trader Profile at any time by clicking the My Settings button on the EBS Spot Masthead. Trader Parameters 1.1.1.1. Bid/Offer Auto-Interrupt When enabled, Bid/Offer Auto-Interrupt option prevents any outstanding bid/offer for a currency pair when that currency pair s BID or OFFER key is selected from the same workstation. Bid/Offer Auto-Interrupt interrupts any outstanding quotes. The default is Disabled. Note: The Bid/Offer Auto-Interrupt option cannot be enabled if the Multiple Bids and Offers option or Allow Buy/Sell with Quotes option is enabled. 1.1.1.2. Bid/Offer AutoFill Price Options When enabled, this provides the Dealer with the option of having the Quote panel automatically populate either the Bid or Offer pips field with the Best Dealable Price in the selected currency pair. Use the spin buttons in conjunction with this feature to increase or decrease the Bid or Offer pips. In addition, traders have a further option to AutoFill with the EBS Best price when there is no EBS Dealable Best price (due to credit). The default setting for existing customers who had Bid/Offer Autofill Price enabled, will be EBS Dealable Best enabled. 1.1.1.3. Multiple Bids and Offers The Multiple Bids and Offers option allows you to enter multiple quotes on the same side of the market for a currency pair. The default is Enabled. Note: The Multiple Bids and Offers and Bid/Offer Auto-Interrupt options cannot be enabled at the same time. 1.1.1.4. Allow Buy/Sell with Quotes The Allow Buy/Sell with Quotes option allows you to take prices from the market while keeping your current Bids and Offers in the market. The default is Enabled. Note: When the Allow Buy/Sell with Quotes option is enabled, the Bid/Offer Auto- Interrupt option is de-selected automatically and cannot be chosen, and the Multiple Bids/Offers option automatically is chosen and cannot be de-selected. 8

1.1.1.5. Display EBS Best Big Fig Select whether to Display EBS Best Big Fig[ure] for the Bid and Offer on your Price panel when there is no dealable price for that currency pair. This figure appears in red if a non-dealable price is in the market. (Once a dealable price is available, the black Dealable Big Figure replaces this red EBS Best Big Figure. ) The default is Not Enabled. 1.1.1.6. Check Price Validation The Check Price Validation feature, if enabled, displays a warning on the Quote Input panel if you enter a price that is 85 pips away from the internally calculated EBS market price. This feature also displays a warning Price changed, Check Price in the Sell/Buy panel if the displayed price has changed for the worse in the two seconds prior to attempting to take a price. The default is Not Enabled. 1.1.1.7. Display Local Prices When enabled, the Display Local Prices option shows prices submitted by the Dealer himself in the Price panel or prices from another workstation on the same floor. For any local price, the price and dealer ID of the owner of the Order also displays. The default is Enabled. 1.1.1.8. Bid > Dealable Offer Select this option to allow entering a Bid greater than the Dealable Offer or an Offer less than the Dealable Bid in the market. The default is Enabled. 1.1.1.9. Small Trade Amount Selecting the Small Trade Amount option allows that when the Trader presses SEND, the submitted amount will never be greater than the amount visible in the Price panel at that time, nor will it be greater than the maximum amount. The default is Not Enabled. Note: The maximum trade amount, as defined by ICAP in pairs.bin file for each currency pair, can be modified by the Trader on the Manage Currency Pair screen. When the Small Trade Amount option is selected (on), then: The small amount will be applied at a hit Order submission. If the small amount value is zero (not displayed on the Price panel), the Small Trade Amount is not applied. If the Small Trade Amount value is greater than the amount currently set by a Trader (automatically or manually), the small amount is not applied. 1.1.1.10. AutoTab Default The trader will have two choices of either Full Pip or Fractional Pip in the Bid/Offer and Buy/Sell Panels. 9 Full Pip - Full Pip is the default AutoTab selection. With the Full Pip option selected, the trader is only required to enter two digits to get to the amount field. The fractional amount will be auto-padded to zero. Fractional Pip - With the Fractional Pip option selected, the focus will AutoTab from the price field to the amount field after the trader enters all 3 digits.

Note: In order to cater to a trader who wants to keep the AutoTab setting to Full Pip but may wish to enter a fractional price on occasion, in Full Pip clicking on the price field changes Auto Tab to Fractional Pip. Upon leaving the panel or entering the order, the trader s setting will revert back to Full Pip. Price Padding in Fractional Pairs Examples of the Fractional price padding logic when tabbing out of the Price field: Entering a single digit ( 3 ) would be padded with zeroes on the left and right: 030 Entering 2 digits ( 32 ) would be padded with a zero on the right: 320 Entering ALL digits ( 325 ) requires no padding: 325 Small/Odd Amount Entry To enter small or odd amounts, the trader must use the decimal key. A trader who wants to enter 300 thousand will enter.3 A trader who wants to enter 2 million, 300 thousand must enter 2.3 Amount Padding in the Quote Panel A trader who wants to enter 1 million will enter 1 and the system will pad.0 on <Send> or exiting the field. It will be displayed as 1.0. 1.1.1.11. Top of Book Depth View for Tenths Traders can choose their Depth of Book view preference for either Exact Amount or Cumulative Amount. Exact Amount will show a summarization of all of the amounts of Bids or Offers. In contrast, the Cumulative Amount will show the individual amounts of the Bids or Offers. 1.1.1.12. Work The Balance The Work The Balance Default: option, which you specify on the Trader Profile screen, allows automatic resubmission of a Buy/Sell Order as a Bid/Offer if the amount of the Buy/Sell order is not satisfied. You can select whether to always, partial or never Work the Balance, as described below. My Settings Trader Profile WTB Selection If Work The Balance is "Always," any amount remaining from the Buy/Sell order is submitted as a Quote, regardless of whether any amount of the original deal was done. If Work The Balance is "Partial" and part of the Buy/Sell order is transacted, the remaining Buy/Sell amount is submitted as a Quote. 10

If Work The Balance is Never, any remaining balance of a Buy/Sell Order is not submitted as a Quote. The default is Never. The Buy/Sell Request panel displays an indication of the Work The Balance settings for the Order prior to submission. You may modify the Work The Balance setting dynamically on a per-order basis on the Buy/Sell Request panel before submitting each Order. The size requested remains the same as that submitted with the original Sell/Buy Order. The size obtained accumulates from any deals that took place as part of the original Sell/Buy Order, as well as from the Work the Balance Quote. 1.1.1.13. Show Rounded Price for Tenths Will show Rounded at EBS Best Price for a Tenths Pair above the Price Panel s Bid and Offer. For example: Bid prices shall be rounded down to the next whole pip. For example: EBS Best Dealable Bid Rounded Price 48 9 48 48 1 48 48 0 48 (no rounding) Offer prices shall be rounded up to the next whole pip. For example: EBS Best Dealable Offer Rounded Price 50 9 51 50 1 51 50 0 50 (no rounding) 99 2 00 11

The default setting is OFF. 1.1.1.14. Shift With Automatch Take (SWAT) Using <Shift + Bid/Offer>, also known as Shift with Automatch Take - allows manual traders to quickly Automatch at the Best Dealable Price for the default Normal Trade Size (Best), allowing for faster execution. This is a Trader Profile parameter. The default is ON. Note: For those customers with 1-Click functionality enabled, the 1-Click Amount will automatically default to the Normal Trade Size (Best), but may be modified. The SWAT Amount will also automatically default to the trader s Normal Trade Size (Best). 1.1.1.15. Shift Sweep Take (SST) Using <Shift + Buy Reg/Sell Reg > allows manual traders to Buy/Sell at the Outside Price for his/her Normal Trade Size (Reg), allowing for fast execution. Default upon deployment will be ON. 1.1.1.16. One-Click Trading To execute via the mouse more quickly, traders can click once on the Best Dealable Bid/Offer prices to initiate a deal. One-click is either On or Off for all pairs. The default setting for this enhancement is OFF. 1.1.1.17. Auto Clear Settings Choose whether to Auto Clear each Transaction panel after a specific status is achieved: Done: the selected panel clears from the screen when a Quote is completed or done. Interrupted: the selected panel clears from the screen whenever a Quote is interrupted. The Auto Clear option automatically closes each Quote Transaction panel with a User Defined setting in seconds after reaching the Done and/or Interrupted state. The default for the panel settings is un-checked. 1.1.1.18. Price Time Limit This option determines how long an active Quote displays in the Price panel. This can be anywhere from (0) zero seconds to 59:59 minutes. If Price Time Limit is un-checked (disabled), the Quote stays active until it is removed manually. The timer begins when the price is submitted into the EBS Spot market, by selecting the <SEND> key. A manual price interrupt has priority over this limit. For example: If 10 seconds is selected, the price remains in the EBS Spot market for 10 seconds and then is 12

removed automatically. If this is manually interrupted after three seconds, the 10 second setting is overridden and the price removed at that time. The default is no Price Time Limit ( un-checked ). This option applies to ALL orders. 1.1.1.19. Auto Fill Price Options Whole Pip Pairs Bid/Offer Panels This option allows a Trader to autofill Bids & Offers with the EBS Dealable Best price. With EBS Best Dealable selected, the Trader will see the EBS Dealable Best price. With OFF selected, the Trader will need to enter their own price. The default setting is OFF. Tenths Pairs Bid/Offer or Buy/Sell Panels The Trader can choose how prices will be auto filled for Bids/Offers and for Buys/Sells for currency pairs defined as pip type tenths. This is applicable for auto filling of prices at dealable best top of book and not applicable to outside prices on the Price Panel. For Buy/Sell, the following options are: OFF Exact Price - The price presented in the Buy/Sell Request panel, shall be an exact price. Rounded Price - The price presented in the Buy/Sell Request panel, shall be a rounded price. Default for tenths pairs Buy/Sell Panels is Rounded Price For Bid/Offer, the following options are: Exact Price - The price presented in the Quote Request panel, shall be an exact price. My Settings Value Date Calendar The EBS Trading Day ends at 5:00 PM local New York time. At this point, the Value Date refreshes and all trades for the next 24 hours are considered part of the next Trading Day. Thus, any trades done after 5:00 PM local New York time and before Midnight (GMT) will have an Effective EBS Trade Date advanced by one day from the actual date and a refreshed Value Date based on that Effective Trade Date. However, the Value (Spot) or Valuation (NDF) and Settlement Dates are calculated by counting forward from the Effective Trade Date a number of business days (matching the currency pair s tenor, usually two). The illustrations below show the differing information displayed for Spot (left) or NDF (right) deals. For Spot deals, the Spot: date is its value date. For NDFs, the Spot: date also equals the value date, while the Value date corresponds to the NDF s valuation or fixing date. A scroll bar allows access to additional information that cannot display in the small calendar s date cell. My Settings Spot versus NDF Details Displayed on the Value Date Calendar An exception to this rule occurs on Friday, when the Effective Trade Date does not move forward until 5:00 PM local New York time on Saturday. Trades done after 5:00 PM Saturday and before 5:00 PM Monday local New York time will have an Effective Trade Date of Monday. 25

You can print the Value Date Calendar by clicking on Print. Output from the selected month only is sent to the default printer. The Value Date print report displays six columns of information: Day (of week) Date (as digit from 1 to 31) Currency Holidays Spot Value Date Valuation Date Settlement Date (NDF only) My Settings Global Access Keypad Distributed via ICAP Customer Support, the EBS Spot Global Access Keypad allows quick and easy access to trading functions. A mouse and keyboard may be used in addition to, or in place of the keypad. Keypad navigation, mapping and shortcuts are described in further detail later in this document. Global Access Keypad Expanded Language/Locale Compatibility EBS has added new keypad mapping locales to provide more customers with the ability to trade using the EBS keypad. Below is an expanded list of the Languages/Locales that the EBS Keypad is certified to work with: 26

EBS SPOT Global Access Application Interface The Masthead includes informational labels (Floor Code, Trader ID, Date/Time information), navigational buttons (for EBS Spot, Settings and for Floor Admin application access, if granted), a traffic meter indicating current bandwidth availability (i.e., network latency with your ISP), plus a silo message area and logout control. The Traffic Meter Bandwidth Monitor Masthead Information and Navigation Links A traffic meter on the left side of the Masthead monitors and displays an indication of your current bandwidth availability. This equates to the network latency you are experiencing with your Internet Service Provider service. As bandwidth decreases, red appears on the top of the green column, with one increment for every 25 percent decrease in bandwidth. Bandwidth Monitor As the red portion of the column increases, the trade Taker s satisfaction may decrease as the prices they try to hit become stale. Maker side transactions based on stale prices could occur. When the bar is 100 percent red, no new prices will be seen and the Trader will not be able to hit anything. 27

Silo Messages The Silo heading display provides you with EBS Global Access dealing system messages. Silo messages only are available in the EBS Spot application; none display within My Settings or the Floor Admin applications. Credit Warning Silo Messages A Credit Warning Limit message means that credit with a counterparty credit group is approaching the pre-determined limit. A Credit Exhausted message means that the credit limit with the counterparty credit group is exhausted. A Credit Limit Restored message indicates that additional credit has been applied to the credit group. Deal Recovery Silo Message A Deal Recovery message displays when the system is attempting to recover deal status information. The silo also provides Customer Support, Deal Recovery and other messages for dealers. To view the details of a message, select the message with your mouse. Signing Off (Logout) 1. If there are any open quotes in the Spot Trading application, you must click OK on the warning message. If so, then click the Off All Transaction button or click the X button on each active quote in the Transaction Status panel. Select Logout from the Masthead menu again. 28 Close Open Quotes before Logout

The procedure is the same for changing the default pairs automatically displayed in the EBS Rates, Market Data Range, or Net Volume Flow panels when you enter the EBS Spot application. Currency pair may be changed on a Price panel even when there are inactive Quote panels related to the currency pair entered in the market. With an active Quote in the market (or any open active Quote panel related to that currency pair), that currency pair cannot be changed in the Price panel. Warning message of Active Quote in Market 1. Select the currency pair to change in the upper corner of the chosen Price panel by double clicking on the displayed pair name. The Change Currency Pair drop-down menu appears. Selecting Currency Pairs 2. Scroll down the list to select the desired display currency pair. 3. Moving EUR/JPY onto USD/JPY Cumulative Depth at Top of Book Traders have the option to view depth of book views for tenths pairs with Exact Amount View (current) or Cumulative Amount View (new) at EBS Dealable Best (Level 1) and EBS Dealable Best +/- 1 (Level 2). 32

A depth of book indicator is in the price panel to remind the trader they have selected the Cumulative Amount View. Price Panel Views Two new market views have been introduced Amount View and Spread View. These views provide more visibility into the inventory available in the EBS Order Book and provide traders with the ability to adjust views to suit dynamic market conditions. A persistent dropdown menu, accessed by clicking on the top right dropdown arrow on each EBS Spot price panel allows customers to switch between Spread Views and Amount Views. These parameters will vary depending on the pair displayed. This gives traders the flexibility to determine, by currency pair, which view best suits their real time trading needs. Below is an example of the Spread View and the Amount View. Traders also have the ability to adjust views by using spinners to the price panel. The spinners will allow customers to quickly view different inventory levels and will appear when the trader places the mouse over any of the price panels. The amounts that display via the spinner mirror the same ICAP defined parameters that are made via the dropdown menu. If 33

a trader tweaks the view via the spinner, that parameter/option will not be saved, only views selected through the dropdown will be persisted. Full Price View The new Full Price View will provide customers with a merged display of the Big Figure and Pips. Traders can choose between the current Pip View and the new Full Price View directly via the dropdown menu available in each price panel. When enabled, the new Full Price View will display the exact inventory amount at the best dealable bid/offer and display the trader s choice of an Amount View in the outside price display Full Price View Alerts Setup accessed directly via price panels and is available for all pairs. The Quote panel allows the Trader to enter trading information for any type of quote (Bid and Offer orders, and Buy or Sell requests). The active Quote panel has a red outline. A new Order panel opens in the uppermost position of the Quote area, moving other open Quote panels down (a scroll bar appears when more Quote panels are open than screen space allows). You can change the active Order panel by clicking your mouse on the desired panel. Enlarging one of these panel areas, by dragging the divider bar between them up or down, causes the other area to decrease in screen size. When a deal is initiated by clicking the BUY/SELL/BID/OFFER button, a new Quote panel appears at the top of the Quote panels stack. When the SEND button is pressed, a new Transaction panel appears in the Transaction panel area at the top of the stack. In the Transaction panels area, information on the submitted quotes status displays. If too many panels to display in the area are open, a scroll bar appears to allow review of every panel. Panels may be collapsed and expanded to condense the space needed to display multiple panels. Clicking the Collapse button compresses the panel; and clicking the Detail button expands the status detail visible. Order/Transaction Panels 35
