Battle of the Bulldogs Team Application Please turn in this completed packet with $100 by Friday, October 3 rd to the Dean of Students office in Stafford 214. Please list out every member of your team on the lines below. If you are a larger organization or group and cannot fit all member s names on this paper, please attach additional papers as needed. Both organization teams and nonorganization teams should fill this paper out. Name of Organization/Team: President of Organization/Team: President Phone Number: List out all team members below. The organization that wins Battle of the Bulldogs overall will select a local or national charity to donate the money that was raised during the week to. Battle of the Bulldogs A charity week sponsored by the Student Government Association What is Battle of the Bulldogs? Battle of the Bulldogs is a week coordinated by the Student Government Association to bring Southwestern Oklahoma State University students together while raising money to donate to national and local charities. Registered Battle of the Bulldogs teams will have the opportunity to compete against other SWOSU organizations and teams to win points at each competition during the week. Events include Night on the Lawn, Movie under the Stars, Can Drive, We Care Wednesday, Duke s Dance Off, and a bonfire to cap the week off. This is the inaugural year for Battle of the Bulldogs. Both SWOSU organizations and groups of six or more SWOSU students can enter to compete in the week s events for $100. This year s charity week is scheduled for October 6 th -10 th, 2014. How do I sign up? To register for the week pick up a form from the Dean s Office in Stafford office 214. Organizations may enter their entire club under one team. Non-organization affiliated students may also enter a team of six or more. Registration forms must be taken to the Dean s Office by Friday, October 3 rd, 2014 by 5 PM with the mandatory entry fee of $100 included. Examples of organizations: Sororities, Fraternities, Cab, History Club, Pom, Spanish Club, sports teams, etc. If you are not part of an organization you can still enter a nonorganization team of six or more! Interested in donating? Battle of the Bulldog s will be successful with the help of donations from students, faculty, staff, alumni, businesses, and individuals. Help SWOSU make this year s inaugural charity week wonderful by making a donation. Contributions and donations from the community are vital to the success of Battle of the Bulldogs! Please send donations to the Dean of Students office in Stafford Office 214, attention Battle of the Bulldogs. SWOSU Charity Week Battle of the Bulldogs Schedule of Events Monday, October 6 th Night on the Lawn Student Union Lawn Food at 6 PM Competition at 7 Registered organizations and teams can come eat for free, starting at 6 PM. Students who are not competing, but wish to eat will be charged $5. A kickoff of the week will begin at 6:45 PM. The first competitions will start at 7 PM. Competitions will include three-legged race, sack race relay, wheelbarrow race, and pie eating contest. Allow for nine team members to compete. Winning teams will receive points. Represent your team by wearing your organization shirt! 1. Three-legged race: Two competitors 2. Sack race relay: Four competitors 3. Wheel-barrow race: Two competitors 4. Pie eating contest: One competitor

Tuesday, October 7 th Movie under the Stars Student Union Lawn Starting at 8:30 Canned Food Drive Competition All Students Welcome Get your Battle of the Bulldogs team together to relax during a movie on the lawn. Bring lawn chairs, blankets, and a drink. Popcorn will be provided. Your team can also earn competition points by bringing as many canned food items as you can! The cans will be donated to the Weatherford Food Pantry, so every item counts! The winning team gets to pick a president from any participating club to pie in the face. All students are welcome, free of charge. Wednesday, October 8 th Why We Care Wednesday Student Union 9 AM to 2 PM Come by the student union on your way to class or at lunch to make a difference, for free! Pick up a random acts of kindness card or write a thank you note to a faculty member, friend, or coworker. Come make someone s day at Why We Care Wednesday! All students are invited to participate. Thursday, October 9 th Duke s Dance Off Fine Arts Center 7 PM Organizations and teams will perform a choreographed dance, all to raise money for charity! The winner will be determined by a panel of judges. Music must be provided by the performing group. Dances should be no longer than eight minutes. All students are welcome to attend free of charge. REMINDER: MUSIC FOR YOUR ORGANIZATION S DANCE SHOULD BE SUBMITTED TO THE DEAN OF STUDENTS OFFICE IN STAFFORD OFFICE 214 BY TUESDAY, OCTOBER 7 TH.

Friday, October 10 th Bonfire Rogers and Jefferson Lawn 9 PM Come hear SWOSU s head football coach Dan Cocannouer speak and hangout with the football players, SWOSU pom squad, and SWOSU cheer squad. All students are welcome to come. The winner of Battle of the Bulldogs will be announced at the bonfire. Free to all students.
