1 20 Fundraising Ideas Thank you so much for choosing to fundraise for! We know that it can be difficult to think of various ways to raise money, so we have thought of a few ideas to get you started 1. Cake sale: Muffin Monday, Tart Tuesday, Waffle Wednesday... There is nothing better than homemade cakes. Treat your colleagues to your baked goods once a week and charge per slice. 2. Pub quiz: Test each other s knowledge at a pub quiz held by you. Include an entry charge for all master minds attending!

2 3. Auction: Clean out your closet and sell your unwanted items on Ebay, with all proceeds going to Lessons for Life. 4. Car Boot Sale: Have a spring clean and do a car boot sale! 5. Give something up you are known to love, such as chocolate or wine. Get people to sponsor you during this period, let s see how long you can last!

3 6. Sponsored silence: Gather sponsors from friends, family and colleagues. 7. Dress down day at work: Pyjama day or Onesie day, take your pick! 8. Doughnut sale: Use the Krispy Kreme fundraising scheme where you can purchase a dozen of the original glazed doughnuts for just 5, and then put on a doughnut sale at your workplace, children s school or local sports club.

4 9. Fancy dress party: Get your creative juices flowing and invite your friends and family for a fancy dress bash. Perhaps provide an award for the best outfit? Charge an entry fee for all invited to raise a ton of money. 10. Karaoke: Belt it out with some of your nearest and dearest. 11. Office olympics: Fastest typer, tea making competition and much more. Get colleagues to purchase tickets and see who will make it as the most talented employee.

5 12. Sell starbucks: Ask your local Starbucks for coffee donations like many have done before, and sell delicious drinks to colleagues and friends. 13. Social Media: Facebook, Twitter, blogging, YouTube, Instagram you name it. Get yourself and your fundraising aim out there to the public to raise more funds. 14. Beard growing competition: See who is the champion beard-grower in your office or out of your group friends. Get them to receive sponsors and keep the donations flowing.

6 15. Football match: Organise a football match with tickets being sold to those who want to come and watch as well as the players taking part. 16. Come dine with me: Why not organise a Come dine with me supper evening at home with a group of friends? Decide on a menu and ask your guests for a donation. 17. Board game tournament: Challenge your mates to your favourite board game. Charge an entry fee and provide a selection of snacks.

7 18. Film night: Charge entry and provide popcorn and other scrumptious snacks to your guests whilst you watch your favourite film. A cosy night in is always a winner! 19. Bake off: Compete with freshly baked goods to see who comes top! Charge an entry fee as well as those who want to come and support (and eat!). 20. Group exercise class: Have a friend who is a professional yoga teacher? Arrange a class where all participants give money to charity, and are able to cleanse their mind, body and soul at the same time.
