Transportation Bus: All Bergen County Technical High School Teterboro students are transported from the sending districts by their town Board of Education. Route creations are agreed upon between the sending district and independent bus companies. Only those students who are on the scheduled bus route are permitted on the bus. Any incidents on the bus. (i.e. harassment, bullying etc.) should be immediately reported to the main office. Arrival: Students arrive on campus between 7:00 a.m. - 8:00 a.m. Dismissal: 2:56 p.m. buses leave approximately 3:10 p.m. on full days and 12:40 on half days.

Freshmen Courses Required Courses Math Option #1 Math Analysis I Honors and Geometry Honors This track is the most accelerated level and requires one of the following: Proficiency on the mathematics placement test. Clubs Students have the opportunity to participate in several clubs that are held after school on Tuesday s and Thursday s from 3:00 p.m. 4:00 p.m. Students must submit signed consent forms to participate in club activities, abide by attendance guidelines, and participate in only one club per day. Transportation: Students are taken by bus to location in town.
Cafeteria Services Breakfast: Served daily from 7:40-8:00 a.m. in the cafeteria. The cafeteria closes promptly at 8am. Lunch: The school has a closed lunch schedule. Therefore, no students may leave the school building or grounds for lunch. The following rules apply: No student is to eat lunch or drink beverages anywhere but in the student cafeteria or the auxiliary cafeteria. No Food deliveries are allowed to the school.

Should your child be out for a few days, contact his or her guidance counselor by phone or e- mail. You may also have your child email their individual teachers directly for missed work. Sign Out: Where possible, parents should inform the school in writing 24 hours in advance. Students must be signed out in the West Office by a person listed as a guardian. Academic Concerns: 1) Email the instructor directly to discuss concerns or set up meeting. 2) Contact child s School Counselor. 3) Request a Peer Tutor by contacting Ms. Nardelli @ launard@bergen.org 4) Contact I & RS team Scheduling Concern: 1) Contact your child s counselor. 2) Requests for specific teachers can not be accommodated.
Frequently Asked Questions Computer Usage: Your child must bring a signed Netiquette Agreement and the Website Disclosure Form. School Email: Your child will be issued a bergen.org account which is to be used for school purposes only. My child forgot their lunch, homework, etc. at home: Parents often leave forgotten lunch bags/boxes with the secretaries in the West Office. There is, however, no refrigeration facility. Every effort is made to contact the student to pick up their lunch. Free/Reduced Lunch: In the first few days of school, all students will be given a Free & Reduced Lunch Form.
Frequently Asked Questions Report Cards/Progress Reports: Report Cards Progress Reports are available (4) times at the mid point of each marking period. Report cards are available (4) times at the close of each marking period. Only the final grade for the year appears on the student s transcript. Missing Items: Security is a campus priority. Contact administration if your child is missing an item. BCTHS Teterboro discourages students bring electronics/iphones/etc. to school, and will not be held responsible if stolen. School Security Drills: Regularly scheduled drills (Fire & School Security) are state mandated twice a month.
Frequently Asked Questions School Closings Early Dismissals A school closing announcement for the Bergen County Technical Schools is broadcast on the following radio and television stations: WOR 710 (AM radio) WINS 1010 (AM radio) WVNJ 1160 (AM radio) NEWS 12 NEW JERSEY (TV station) Information will be posted on the district s website at www.bergen.org. A phone blast will also be sent from the administration to students indicating that school is closed for the day. Students should check their student email accounts on www.bergen.org. Buses will be notified and will pick-up students at a later time. If you have questions regarding bus pickup times on the day of a delayed opening, you should contact your bus company. Please Note: Questions regarding your local school district policy regarding the transportation of BCSS students in the event of the local district schools closing or experiencing a delayed opening should be clarified through your local Board of Education prior to such an occurrence. Mid-day closings (i.e. early dismissals) Parents / Guardians who pick up their children must sign them out in the main office. No phone calls.
