Coordinated 2 weekly therapy groups for deaf school-aged children and adolescents in a public school setting. Children in the younger group included hyperactive and inattentive 3 rd graders. The older group was boys in need of assistance with social skills, coping skills, and ways to deal with inattentiveness. Conducted intake assessments on deaf children, adolescents, adults, and their families. Participated in Individualized Education Plan meetings, providing feedback regarding clients emotional and behavioral functioning. Mental Health and Deafness Resources, Northbrook, IL Diagnostic Practicum Student 2002 2003 Worked with deaf and hard of hearing children and adolescents in residential treatment center and inpatient hospitalization settings. Testing responsibilities included scoring, interpreting, report writing, and multiaxial assessment under the supervision of a licensed clinical psychologist. Coordinated weekly group therapy for school-aged children in a residential treatment center with other students. Children in the group included both residential and day students.
