Calvià is sport With a typically Mediterranean climate, where the sun shines more than 300 days a year and the average temperature reaches 14º C in winter and 27º C in summer, Calvià reunites all the enviable conditions necessary for the practice of sport throughout the entire year. Galatzó Public Finca The Galatzó Public Finca is located in the north of the municipality of Calvià, near Es Capdellà. It covers approximately 10% of the total of the municipality and provides the perfect setting for sports in contact with nature. The types of sport that can be practised range from competition sport such as MTB, mountain racing, orientation or backcountry hiking to less demanding disciplines such as walking, pony trekking or archery. Come to the Galatzó Public Finca and practise your favourite sport whilst enjoying an exceptional mountain landscape.
Golf Both professional golf players and amateurs alike can find incredible opportunities for playing their sport in the golf courses in the region. The excellent climate, peacefulness of the surroundings and the high quality of services ensure that many people return year after year to play golf. Golf Poniente Designed in 1978 by John Harris, this Par 72 golf course is long and quite difficult, and was designed for seasoned players with long drives. On various occasions it has played host to the Balearic Golf Open Championship (Open de Balears de Golf). 5 6 Golf Santa Ponsa II 7 4 In December, 1991, the Golf Santa Ponsa II golf course was opened, extending over 6,053m and with Par 72. The majority of holes on the course II are located within a pine wood and the rest are amongst large lakes, thus providing many interesting options for playing. Golf Santa Ponsa III Golf Santa Ponsa III was opened in January 1999, and extends for a distance of 1,599 m for men and 1,332 m for women. Par 30, with 3 Par 4 and 6 Par 3.
