We ll go into each one in depth later. Feel free to click around, but these are not as important to the project. 2.3 Password Reset To change your initial password, click your name in the top right corner of the screen, then click My Details Then click the Account tab, change Keep current password to Choose Password. 3.1 Tasks Tab The Tasks tab contains the tasks that need to be completed. The tasks are organized into lists and each list is tied to a milestone. For instance the May 2013 task list is tied to the Mary 2013 milestone. To complete a task, simply click the box. Checkbox to complete task Task Name Due date (typically tied to task list deadline) Priority (typically not used) Person who should close task and the button to edit the task More information available on task description Attachment to task Comments 3.2 Comments on Tasks Click the bubble on the far right of a task to start a comment (as seen above). A box will appear. Type if your comment, then you can also notify them by e-mail. Click the drop down under notify by e-mail and select the team members that you want to be notified that there is a new comment. Those individuals will be able to reply back to the comment by replying to the e-mail that is sent to them. 3.3 Edit Task To edit a task click the button that has the resource responsible for the task (typically anyone ). The main reason to edit a task would be to change the owner of the task.
4.1 Milestones Tab The milestone tab displays the progress of a milestone (which is measured by the corresponding task list). Check box to complete milestone Name of Milestone Add comment (identical to adding a comment to a task) Date when milestone is due Person Responsible Edit Milestone Attached task list Progress Bar 5.1 Messages Tab The messages tab will be the primary form of communication during the project. This is more efficient than e-mail and phone calls. It also leaves a trail that anyone on the project can follow. To add a message, click the message tab, then click Add a message in the top right corner. The below screen will pop up. Make sure to click Notify by email and select the individuals to receive the message in an email. Similar to a comment, the individual can reply to the email to post a message in the software.
6.1 Files Tab The files tab houses all of the files associated with the project. Click the Upload files button in the top right corner for a window to pop up. Click browse, select the file you want to upload, then click Upload these files. The option is available to notify individuals that a file has been uploaded. 7.1 Risk Register Tab The risk register tab is a list of all the risks associated with a project. Each risk is assigned a number on a scale of 1-9 for Probability and Impact. These numbers are multiplied together and the risks are prioritized by that number. To add a new risk click Add a risk entry in the top right corner. 8.1 Links Tab The links tab contains internet links to resources outside of the project management software.
