Additional course requirements for newly added endorsements Transfer credit is limited to six semester hours of graduate credit for those pursuing the M.Ed. There is a six-year limit between the first course and the last course used for the degree, including any transfer credit. Additional information concerning Exceptions to the Hours before Admission Policy is outlined in AA 2014-05. Additional Non-Course Requirements for Endorsement In order to earn: the Bilingual Endorsement, candidates must pass the relevant ISBE Target Language Proficiency Test. the Special Education Endorsement, candidates must pass the ISBE Special Education LBS I content test (#155) the Middle Level Mathematics Endorsement and be eligible to teach mathematics at grade 9 on a PEL with Elementary Endorsement, candidates must pass the ISBE Mathematics content test (#115) Implementation Changes need to be entered in Banner, CAPP, the catalog and/or NLU web pages as appropriate. Registrar, Admissions, Enrollment Management, Marketing, and Advising staff, as well as faculty, need to be knowledgeable about this new program. These new majors will be added to the 2014-2015 catalog.
