1 Anwendungsbereich Fig. 1: Dashboard View The Masterplan Report Manager (MRM) is a comprehensive web based report generator. The MRM is a customized version of the JasperReports Server Enterprise Edition from TIBCO/Jaspersoft. Within the Masterplan BI Suite it has access to all data bases of the Masterplan modules, can collect these and display them in reports. Reports, tabular or graphical, can be displayed in dashboards and refreshed regularly, be exported to different file formats(pdf, Excel, etc.), be created and formated by the user in the web based UI (many user friendly drag and drop functions) oder zeitgesteuert per E-Mail versendet oder auf einem FTP-Server abgelegt werden. Hereinafter example data is listed, that can be evaluated with the MRM : Order information from the Masterplan Auftragscenter Serviceticket data from the Masterplan Kommunikationsinterface Communication data from teh IP-PBXs Data from any structured data source (data bases, CSV files, etc.) 2

2 Product Information 2.1 Report view Fig. 2: Report view with individual formatting The final report with all key figures is displayed in the report view. Filters, date, time and groups can be changed with the options (left side). The following functions are available in the report view: Chaning of filters an options Moving and resizing of columns Sorting columns Basic formatting of fonts and background Conditional formatting of fonts and background with different operators and condition values Zoom and search function Saving the formatting Exporting the report to different file formats: o PDF o XLS / XLSX o DOC / DOCX o PPTX o CSV o RTF o ODT o ODS 3

2.2 Schedules Fig. 3: Scheduling options In the Masterplan Report Manager the user can schedule each Report. Schedules serve the timecontrolled execution of reports. The generated reports (HTML, PDF, XLSX, etc.) can automatically be sent via email or filed on a ftp server. The following options can be set for a schedule: Schedule repetition on all or just specific days or months (e.g. for weekly, monthly or annual execution) at a specific time of day Setting filters/parameters like date, time, and group (dates are set relatively, e.g. previous day, previous week, previous month, previous year) Output options for file name, file format and output destination Email notification to one or more recipients with message text and attached report files 4

2.3 Create a report Fig. 4: Report designer, multi-axis diagramm In the report designer (ad-hoc designer) the user can design reports based on the available fields, dimensions, formats and diagram types. The generated reports can be viewed in the report view or scheduled like previously described. Following functions are available in the report designer: Generating tables, cross tables or diagram reports Selecting dimensions and fields as columns, rows or groups (summary) Generating calculated dimensions and fields with a formula generator and many available functions (similar to Excel, see fig. next page) Selection of diagram type (see fig. next page) Generating user defined filter expressions Setting the sorting of single columns Setting formats of single columns (percent, 1 to 4 decimals) Specify the calculation of summaries and total rows ( sum, min, max, average) User defined column labels 5

Fig. 5: Formula generator in the report designer Fig. 6: Selection of diagram types in the report designer 6

2.4 Dashboard Abbildung 7: Dashboard Designer with three reports The user can create individual dashboards in the dashboard designer. A dashboard is meant to display several auto-refreshing reports on a monitor or tablet. With a dashboard a user can keep track of the most important key figures. The following functions are available for the dashboard designer: Creating new reports diagramm, cross table, table (report designer, see previous chapter) Input of user defined texts for labels Integration of websites Integrations of reports and their filter settings Setting refresh intervalls Positioning of content at different positions with different sizes 7

2.5 Report library Fig. 8: Report library view The report library is the base of the Masterpln Report Manager. It is organized in folder-treestructure (similar to windows explorer). Reports, ad-hoc views, Dashboards etc. can be arranged with drag and drop in the folder structure. Individual rights and roles or single organizations/tenants can be assigned to each folder. That ensures that user can only see data they are entitled to. It can also be defined which functions a role can execute, e.g. read or write in a folder, creating ad-hoc views or dashboards, edit existing reports. 8

2.6 More functions Hereinafter further example functions are shown, which are not implemented in the standard version. Fig. 9: Example: Graphical report with world map and sales figures per country Fig. 10: Example: Anlysis report with Drill-Down / Drill-Up function 9
