I want to be part of the team dedicated to FIT. Has been evaluating various projects for more than 10 years being member of various evaluating boards and editorial boards. During the last 4 years I have been also evaluating curricula in translation, interpretation and languages as an independent reviewer in Russia and CIS countries. Have been working a lot with electronic evaluations and results so IT skills are up-to-date. organizations UNDP in Russia, DAAD, UNESCO etc. Have the qualities expected of the leader in higher education, particularly in translation and interpreting; and in the T&I business. I am willing and capable to work in a team, as it is required in the FIT Council. I am an active practicing interpreter and translator both for local and international clients. Many study programs at the Institute of Language and Professional Communication at Astrakhan University which I am director of are based on developing and expanding technological innovations - including software and hardware use to enable remote teaching and learning. This enhanced the technical base of the university by introducing computer-assisted courses in languages, literature and translation, and developing the relevant computer-assisted methodologies including new software and materials (even developing authentic electronic dictionaries for the regional languages Azeri, Kazakh etc). She contributes a lot into the activities of the UTR, proposes new initiatives and the UTR is sure that Olga Egorova will be a very valuable member of the FIT council. Her professional connections include all the most important international organizations (the European Commission, the European Parliament, the UN, the OECD etc), the most important governmental translator and interpreter employers.
