Admission Requirements for WSU Since everyone learned in different manors WSU checks all ACT/SAT and grade point averages individually of every person that applies. If you received your GED you have to have scored at least a 410 on every test with an average of 450 and have a ACT score of at least 21 or an SAT score of 990.

Wayne State University Offers more than 370 academic programs 13 schools and colleges to nearly 28,000 students. The campus in midtown Detroit has 100 buildings covering over 200 acres. Its six extension centers offer higher education to students throughout Southeast Michigan.

Tuition Students age 60 or older receive a 75 percent reduction of regular tuition rates. Orientation fee of new coming freshman is $100. Orientation fee of Undergraduate transfer students is $25.

Different Fees Undergraduate Michigan Residents that live on campus have an estimated cost of $23,731 this is for books and supplies, cost of room and board and other misc. costs. Undergraduate Non-Michigan Residents that live on campus have an estimated cost of $36,261. Graduate students that are Michigan Residents that live on campus have an estimated cost of $24,234. Graduate students that are Non-Michigan Residents that live on campus have an estimated cost of $34,846.

Scholarships offered at WSU Eligibility of Freshman Award: You are a current senior in high school who will enter college after graduation. You are a high school graduate who has not earned a credit at a Community College, or University. You are a GED holder who has not earned credit at a Community College, or University. Students who submit updated ACT/SAT scores will be considered for upgraded scholarships as long as funds are available. WSU students can receive only one Merit Scholarship University, Presidential, Distinguished Wade McCree, Gold, Green, Academic Achievement, Anthony Wayne or Detroit Urban Scholars Scholarships.

Programs for Freshman EACH ONE TEACH ONE is a program that invites all Detroit high school students to come explore the Medical Field at WSU so they can explore what they might want as their careers. Approximately 350 students and 100 parents participate in this program every year. B start is an Honors program for incoming freshman to complete both a Bachelors Degree in Business Administration and a M.B.A. in five years.

Housing (Campus life) Living on campus is probably your easiest choice. Living on campus is easier on students because its not as time consuming to get where you need to go to study, ask questions, practice sports, everything is available to you when you need it. Living on campus gives you many amenities such as wireless internet, laundry rooms, workout facilities, and different dining options. More benefits to living on campus you meet new people, you live about 5 minutes away from all your classes, you can explore the city since your right downtown, you will not have to drive home after a long day of studying.

Housing At WSU you have the choice to live in the residence halls or in WSU apartments. You can choose to pick a furnished apartment or an unfurnished apartment. Only Juniors and Seniors are able to rent a furnished apartment. Juniors 21 years are allowed to rent apartments (utilities are included in monthly price). In the residence hall, rooms with private bathrooms are more expensive then rooms with shared bathrooms.

Intramural Sports Wayne State University is home to the Warriors. WSU sponsors 16 NCAA Division II teams that compete in the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference. Mens fencing and Womens fencing compete at the Division I level in the Midwest Fencing Conference. Intramural and Club Sports include: Coed Basketball, Soccer, Flag Football, 6v6 Volleyball, Dodgeball and Club Cricket.

Unique Programs at WSU Wayne State University is known for its Unique Medical Degrees. When students leave Wayne State University they are well prepared for their future employment of Doctors, Nurses and other Medical Technicians. MD/BS is a unique degree only earned by a few students at WSU. The degree is a Bachelors degree for Science and Medicine. Wayne State University has the biggest Single Campus Medical School in the Nation.
