GPA of 3.5 or 3.75 (as calculated by the Office of Admissions - based on transferable courses from all previous schools attended) Completion of 30 transferable credit hours Community College Transfer Scholarships Recipients must be enrolled at least half-time (6 credit hours); scholarship is pro-rated for enrollment less than full-time Must be U.S. citizen or permanent resident, and meet Michigan residency requirements for in-state tuition Last school attended prior to enrolling at UM-Dearborn must be a community college 15
16 Scholarship Timeline Scholarships are offered 5 business days after a student is admitted by the Office of Admissions & Orientation Offer packet includes: Scholarship Offer Letter Scholarship Certificate Terms and Conditions available online: 3 Options for a Student: Accept/Extend/Decline Decision is recorded online umd.umich.edu/accept Scholarship Timeline Student has until May 1 to accept/decline scholarship Accept = Student is enrolling at UM-Dearborn, plans to pay enrollment deposit and is cancelling admission at all other colleges/universities Extension = Student wishes to have more time to make a decision on scholarship and University Student may request an extension until May 1 All extension requests are AUTOMATICALLY APPROVED Decline = Student is enrolling elsewhere and should cancel admission at UM-Dearborn 16
17 Terms and Conditions Scholarship is pro-rated for enrollment less than full time (<12 credit hours) Available for a maximum of 8 consecutive semesters (or until graduation) Scholarship covers Fall and Winter semesters Terms and Conditions available online 24/7: Private Scholarships Private scholarships can provide additional support for students educational expenses. There tend to be more scholarships available to high school seniors who will enter college. Take advantage of your senior year to benefit from a golden time to apply for private scholarships. It is a good idea to start your search locally: unions, local clubs, work and faith-based institutions. 17

You can t get this information anywhere else. I just need your credit card/bank account number to hold your award. 18
