Director s Message (SIBM) The businesses world over have faced some of the most difficult and turbulent situations in last couple of years. Many corporations sailing through centuries have fallen flat. If we analyze reasons behind it, we will see lack of values as one of the major reasons. We have come up with Shashwat Institute of Business Management to provide the much needed value based management education. India is one of the fastest growing economies in the world and has performed much better as compared to developed economies during the recent economic crisis. With increased business activities, growing size of Indian business corporations and developing economy, there is a great demand of effective business leaders. These new-age business leaders are required to work hands-on on different assignments/projects while inspiring team members to follow them. This is a very different situation and one can t succeed here just by coining jargons or working so-called smart way. Our objective is to provide the right training to aspiring business leaders so that they can come up quickly on the learning curve. At Shashwat Institute of Business Management, we focus on creating the best of environment to foster management learning. Our PGDM program is designed to equip students with skills needed to succeed in corporate world. There is a judicious mix of theory and practice in our course curriculum and pedagogy. Case studies, industry guest lectures, industry visits, internships are well-embedded in the theory to train students on practical aspects of business. Personality development programs, English speaking course, corporate mannerism and many other grooming activities will help students better present themselves. Well equipped and updated knowledge facilities like library and computer lab will ensure that our students are updated on latest happening in the industry and world economy. Good number of extracurricular activities like cultural programs and sports activities will ensure that there is an all-round development of students and not just academic. At the end of this two year residential program one can expect a well-groomed, technology trained, skilled, hands-on business executive with right attitude ready to contribute to business growth. I invite all of you who want to make a difference to their lives and to that of others also to join our institute. Together we can surely make a difference. With best wishes, Dr. Vinay R. Gupta Director 5
