Introduction Main Features of KYOCERA Cloud Connect The main features of KYOCERA Cloud Connect (abbreviated to "Cloud Connect") are as follows. Upload the scanned image to Evernote using MFP. Output the image in Evernote from MFP. Create an Evernote account. Upload the scanned image to Google Drive using MFP. Output the image and Google Document in Google Drive from MFP. OVERVIEW This book explains the procedure to use Cloud Connect that connects the Evernote service and Google Drive service. Chapter 1 outlines this Guide. Chapter 2 explains the procedure to install the application in MFP and activate it. Chapter 3 explains the procedure to register the Root Certificates * of Evernote and Google Drive that Cloud Connect uses. Chapter 4 explains the method of the proxy setting. * Except for FS-3540MFP/FS-3640MFP/LS-3640MFP/FS-C2526MFP/FS-C2626MFP, TASKalfa 265ci, you don't need to register the Root Certificates because the models include the Root Certificates required in those firmwares. 19.09.2014 3 26
Installing Cloud Connect Files Required KYOCERAcloudconnect-005xxx.pkg Install and Activation of Application 1 KYOCERAcloudconnect-005xxx.pkg file to the root of a clean USB flash drive. 2 At the MFP control panel, open System Menu/Counter > Favorites/Application. Registration of Root Certificates Cloud Connect accesses the Evernote service and the Google Drive service via SSL communication. Therefore, in order to connect to Evernote services and Google Drive service, it is necessary to register the following Root Certificates. Certificate Name VeriSign Trust Network Equifax Secure Certificate Authority Explanation the Root Certificate issued by Verisign (for Evernote service) the Root Certificate issued by GeoTrust (for Google Drive service) In FS-3540MFP/FS-3640MFP/LS-3640MFP/FS-C2526MFP/FS-C2626MFP, TASKalfa 265ci, please register the above Root Certificates. Unless the Root Certificates are registered, Cloud Connect will not operate correctly. NOTE: Except for FS-3540MFP/FS-3640MFP/LS-3640MFP/FS-C2526MFP/FS-C2626MFP, TASKalfa 265ci, you don't need to register the Root Certificates because the models include the Root Certificates required in those firmwares. Confirmation of Root Certificate NOTE: You can not confirm the certifications registered in firmware in the ways described in this section. You can confirm the certification registered to the MFP via "HyPAS Device Online". There are two ways to access "HyPAS Device Online". Directly access "HyPAS Device Online" (preferred method for all MFP s) Access "HyPAS Device Online" from "Command Center RX" (applies only to the TASKalfa series MFP) Directly Display "HyPAS Device Online" (preferred method for all MFP s) 1 After installing Cloud Connect on the MFP, from an Internet browser display HyPAS Device Online from any PC (https://[mfp s IP address]:8083/) on browser. When accessing HyPAS Device Online, the screen is displayed. (Figure 3-1) NOTE: When an application has not been activated, HyPAS Device Online is not displayed. Proxy Settings If Cloud Connect access to the Internet via proxy server is required, it is necessary to set proxy information in Cloud Connect and proxy information in the system menu. NOTE: Except for Cloud Connect to access the Google Drive service, it is necessary to replace the browser firmware with a compliant version firmware for the proxy authorisation. Proxy Settings in Cloud Connect In order for Cloud Connect to access the Internet, it is necessary to set proxy information in Cloud Connect. There are two ways to display the proxy settings page. Proxy Settings in System Menu At the time of the sign-in to the Google Drive service, Cloud Connect displays the browser of MFP. In order for the browser to access the sign-in page of Google, it is necessary to set proxy information in the system menu. NOTE: For FS-3540MFP/FS-3640MFP/LS-3640MFP/FS-C2526MFP/FS-C2626MFP, TASKalfa 265ci, there are cases that HTTPS proxy server port number is not set correctly. To set the correct port number, please refer to "How to Set the Correct HTTPS Proxy Server Port Number (For FS-3540MFP/FS-3640MFP/LS-3640MFP/FS-C2526MFP/FS-C2626MFP, TASKalfa 265ci)" in appendix. 1 At the MFP control panel, open System Menu/Counter > Internet. Appendix This chapter describes troubleshooting for the use of Cloud Connect. When a communication fault occurs in Cloud Connect When Cloud Connect may not be correctly connected to the network, the screen such as Figure A-1 is displayed. Figure A-1 If such a screen is displayed, please try the following method. Check the cable connection between the network/modem and MFP. Check the network settings of the MFP in the system menu. In FS-3540MFP/FS-3640MFP/LS-3640MFP/FS-C2526MFP/FS-C2626MFP, TASKalfa 265ci, check that the root certificate to access the Evernote service is registered to MFP. Check that the proxy settings of Cloud Connect are correct. When you change user information of the proxy server certification, MFP reboot may be necessary. 19.09.2014 22 26
When a communication fault occurs in Browser of MFP At the time of the sign-in to the Google Drive service, Cloud Connect displays the browser of MFP. When the browser may not be correctly connected to the network, the following screen is displayed. (Figure A-2) Figure A-2 If such a screen is displayed, please try the following method. Check the cable connection between the network/modem and MFP. Check the network settings of the MFP in the system menu.
