Tyro EFTPOS Managing your Merchant Portal To logon to Tyro s Merchant Portal, go to https://merchant.tyro.com. Tyro has e-mailed the password and logon details to the administration e-mail address that was registered on the Merchant Service Agreement. Click on the Log In button at the top right corner. Once on the Merchant Portal, enter the user name and password and click Log In. The user name is the admin email address registered on the Merchant Service Agreement. Your Merchant Home Page The Tyro Merchant website is designed to give you the power and flexibility to manage your account specifically for your business needs.
You can: See a summary of your account details View invoices View Terminal Reports that give you a daily summary of the transactions that have been done on individual terminals View Daily Reports that tell you about the transactions that have been processed on all your terminals Create users who may also be able to perform these functions on your account 2/14
Your Daily Terminal Reports The Terminal Reports page gives you a report summarising the transactions that have been processed on a selected terminal for a specific day, in real time. To navigate to this page, click on the Terminal Reports link towards the top of your Merchant home page. This also allows you to view detailed information about each individual transaction for that day. In this page you can select a date and a terminal to produce a report for. Click the Create Report link to generate the report. 3/14
View individual Card Transactions You can select each Scheme to view the individual transactions. For example, clicking the Visa link in the table would produce the above summary. On this sample page you can see the exact time of each transaction processed by Visa on 11 April 2014. By default, the initial view of this report does not include cancelled or declined transactions. Clicking on the Show cancelled and declined link at the bottom of the page will refresh the table and also include cancelled and declined transactions. 4/14
View detailed Information for Groups of Schemes From the Terminal Report page, the Sub Total link directly underneath EFTPOS will take you to a page that shows you detailed information for Visa, MasterCard and EFTPOS transactions for that day for the selected terminal. Similarly, clicking the Sub Total link directly underneath Diners Club will take you to a page that shows you detailed information for American Express, Diners Club and JCB transactions. If you have not signed up for American Express, Diners Club and JCB access, then these fields will always be zero. Clicking the Total link will take you to a page that shows you detailed transaction information for all schemes. Each of the sub total and total pages also give you the option of exporting the list of transactions in a variety of formats. So for example, a list of all transactions for the day could be exported to an Excel file. 5/14
Reconciliation reports The reconciliation report is a report that is designed to help you reconcile your bank account with your terminal. It is a simpler report that contains only those transactions that are settled by Tyro. Specifically only transactions that are for Visa, MasterCard and EFTPOS. Transactions from American Express, JCB and Diners Club are settled direct via the relevant scheme. To navigate to this page, click on the Reconciliation report link towards the top of your Merchant home page. In this page you can select a date range to produce the report for. Click the Create report button to generate the report. The report shows summary lines for each of your terminals. 6/14
Clicking on an individual terminal will show a more detailed report for that terminal for the same period. As with the Daily Terminal Report, these Reconciliation reports can also be exported into many formats, including Excel. 7/14
Location report The Daily Reports section shows similar information to the Terminal Reports section, but with some The location report is a report that is designed to help merchant with multiple locations access transaction totals for each scheme and transaction type for a specific location or even all locations. To navigate to this page, click on the Location report link towards the top of your Merchant home page. In this page you can select a date range to select the report for as well as the location for the report. Click the Create report button to generate the report. The report shows summary lines for each terminal in the location selected. As with the Daily Terminal Report, these Reconciliation reports can also be exported into many formats, including Excel. 8/14
Viewing your Costs The View My Costs / Invoices section enables you to visualise a summary of your transactions and associated fees for an entire month, both in an exportable tabular format and as a pie chart. It shows a breakdown by various Card Types and Scheme Programs so that you can have an accurate understanding of which card types provide the greatest revenue, and their associated fees. It also shows your terms of trade, which comprise the fees that are charged to you per transaction for the different card schemes and program. To generate the Costs report, click on the My Costs/Invoices link on the Merchant home page, then in the My Cost Analysis section select the month for which you wish to generate the report and click the Get My Cost Analysis link. 9/14
Generating a Tax Invoice You can also generate a tax invoice for a particular month, showing exactly what you have been charged for terminal rental, interchange fees and what has been charged back to you from the schemes, all including GST. To generate this report, go to the My Costs/Invoices link, then in the My Invoices section, select the month for which you wish to generate the report and click the Get My Invoices link. 10/14
Manage Users When your account is created with us, you are given a login for our Merchant website. This gives you full rights for your merchant account on the Merchant website and is therefore referred to as the Administrator. Our system also enables you to create users and manage these users so that they may login and perform similar functions to the Administrator. 11/14
Our system supports the creation of users who can either be: A Terminal User for your merchant: able to view Terminal Reports only, or An Account Manager for your merchant: able to view both Terminal Reports and Daily Reports To create and manage these users, begin at the User Management page by clicking on the User Management link at the top of the screen. Update Users From this page you can either manage your existing users, or create new users. To manage an existing user, simply click on the username in the area under Search Results. If a user you wish to manage does not appear in this list, type the first few letters of their username and click Find. There are three functions that can be performed when updating an existing user: Change The User s Role Reset Password: this will send a new system generated password to the user Delete The User: to delete this user permanently 12/14
Create a new User From the User Management Page, new users can also be created. Click the Add User link at the bottom of the screen. When adding the new user, a unique username (which must be a valid email address) must be specified. The new user s rights must also be selected. Click the Create button to create the user. A system-generated password will be sent to the user. 13/14
