HOW DO I ACCESS MY CPA SUBSCRIPTION TO PHYSIOTHERAPY CANADA ONLINE? CPA members have two ways to access Physiotherapy Canada Online. Follow this link Member login, log in with your CPA member username and password. You will then be brought to Physiotherapy Canada Online. You will see all issues of Physiotherapy Canada that are currently available online. Customization Physiotherapy Canada Online is an incredible research tool. To use its many customizeable features, go to the Physiotherapy Canada Online site to set up your account. 1. Go to http://utpjournals.metapress.com and click the register button that you will find on the left hand side of the screen. 2. Click the button register and then click Register Individual. 3. Enter the information in the boxes shown on the page. Note: We cannot process your registration without this information. 4. Please choose a username and password that match the following criteria. Your username must be at least 4 characters in length and may have either alpha or numeric characters. Your password must be at least 6 characters in length. Each issue is organized into folders named for their volume, and issue number. Starting at the top, you will see a folder called Advance Online which contains articles that are published online ahead of print issue publication. Read a full article Full text is available in PDF. On the results pages and also on the article abstract page, you will find the PDF icon. Click the icon beneath the journal cover to open full text. With this new initiative, advance versions of articles will be available online within weeks rather than months of final manuscript submission. Manage your alerts by clicking on the link called Alerts in the persoinalization menu on the left side of the screen. On the Alerting page, you will see a red X associated to an alert title. How can I sign up for RSS alerts? On the upper right of any browse or search results list, you will find the orange RSS icon. Clicking on this icon will allow you to arrange for RSS alerting. Save your favourites and create your own library of articles Click the add to saved items link to save, label and organize items as you are browsing for easy access at a later time. Mark items of interest discovered for reading later The marked items list allows you to indicate articles of interest discovered during your session. Mark an article by simply clicking the Add to marked items link from anywhere on the site. Recommend this article/issue You can recommend issues and/or articles by clicking the Recommend this issue/article link on the right side of the screen. This function allows you to send the article information to an email recipient. Share Share article/issue links via email and social media such as Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Pinterest, etc. by simply hovering over the share icon at the top right of the screen. A box will appear to allow you to share on all of the popular social media sites or by email. Print/Save full articles or individual pages Print pages or articles from any screen by clicking on the print icon at the top right of the screen. To save a full article, click the download icon at the top right of the screen and a save as box will appear and you can save the article pdf to your computer. How do I export citations? On the right of every article abstract, you will find the Export Citation option. This is a simple feature that allows you to export the citation in RIS, which is the format most citation managers use, or into Text so that you can keep a copy of the citation for your research. Live links in every article Live links in references saves you time to look at the referenced study, simply hover over the reference and you ll see a yellow highlight click on it and you will be redirected to that study. Not just references, all links included in articles are live. Simply hover over the page and where there is a live link, the text will be highlighted in yellow. Narrow your browse or search results by clicking on refinements, such as content type/ category, date range for publication, or author name. By using refinements, you can narrow your results to find exactly the content you need. How do I link to journals online? All UTP Journals offer OpenURL linking and UTP Journals direct linking. Additionally, you can copy and paste the URL from the browser address bar to use as a persistent link to the journal homepage. From any article abstract page, you can select the Recommend this article link on the upper right to email a link of the article to a colleague or even to yourself. By clicking the link, you will find a form to enter the sender s name and email address, recipient s name and email address as well as a text box to include a personal message. How can I download a list of URLs? You can download a list of URLs and other metadata elements, such as ISSN/ISBN, subjects and more, by clicking the Download this list icon on the upper right of any article or issue page. (The Download this list icon resembles a list with a green arrow.) Once you click the Download this list icon, you ll find yourself on the Export page with metadata field checkboxes where you can select the data that you wish to download in your list. All downloaded lists include the content name, DOI, and direct and OpenURL links for the content in your list.
