Master Programme in EHRM: Something for your company? In need of out of the box thinking? Are you interested in being able to capitalise on the knowledge, skills and experience of our students, who are selected from different top universities and business schools in Europe? HR Excellence through teamwork Are you interested in having an international team of 2 or 3 excellent students working on a full time basis for 11 weeks on your HR business problem or issue? Immediate value to your company Are you interested in immediate value to your company in terms of an opportunity to carry out a strategic or operational project which you might not normally be able to source, and are you interested in direct interaction with highly motivated interns equipped with the most up-to-date HR management expertise and innovative problem solving skills? Then an in-company project of the Master Programme in European Human Resource Management is something for you! Master Programme in EHRM: What is it about? The aim of the programme The Master Programme in European Human Resource Management provides Masters and MBA students the unique opportunity to combine a high quality general management degree with a specialist masters degree in European HRM. The programme aims at delivering first-class education of HRM, as well as offering the students the opportunity to carry out an in-company HR-project. This incompany project provides students with the experience of cross-cultural teamwork and takes place in a foreign country. A co-operation between seven leading European Business Schools

The programme brings together participants and faculty from seven leading European Business Schools and universities: EM Lyon, Ecole de management, France Helmut-Schmidt-University, Hamburg, Germany Luiss Business School, Rome, Italy Radboud University Nijmegen, the Netherlands Vlerick Business School, Ghent, Belgium University of Bamberg, Germany RISEBA, Riga International School of Economics and Business Administration, Latvia In total approximately 25 students and several professors of the different institutions participate in the programme. Course of the programme: Teaching periods & In-company project The programme consists of three residential periods of class teaching and a consultancy in-company project in each one of these six European countries. The next edition of the programme starts on Monday 13 April 2015 and ends on Friday 17 July 2015. Dates and places of the different phases in the programme: 13.04. - 24.04.2015 Luiss Business School Rome (I) 8.06. 12.06.2015 Vlerick Business School(B) 13.07. - 117.07.2015 University of Bamberg(G) Approaches to human resource management (HRM) in multinational organizations across Europe Evaluate the ongoing project work regarding professional content Input about Strategic IHRM Presentation of results of project work to experts in the field of international HRM Workshop about intercultural learning Company Project 27.04. - 10.07.2015 (11 weeks)

Residential I Period of class teaching and in-company project presentations: Place: Luiss Business School, Rome, Italy Period: from Monday 13 April 2015 till Friday 24 April 2015 An initial, intensive two-week teaching period at the outset of the programme provides a thorough grounding in approaches to human resource management in multinational organizations across Europe. EHRM is an international programme focusing on European issues within International HRM. Topics covered include strategic HRM, psychological contracts and career management, empowerment and people performance, reward management, intercultural management, team dynamics etc. The first Residential familiarizes students with core theory within European/International HRM, but aims at giving students specific action oriented competencies like project-management and consultancy-skills, with which the student can apply the general knowledge to specific tasks in an organization. In this sense, the programme has a strong professional orientation, providing a platform for a future career. During the first residential the students will receive presentations of all incompany projects. Thereafter, they have to decide together how they will divide the group into teams and assign those teams to specific projects. Company Project Part I: Place: a company hosting a project in France, Germany, Italy, the Netherlands, Belgium or another country. Period: Monday 27 April 2015 till Friday 5 June 2015 (six weeks) Residential II - Period of class teaching and half-term project presentations with extended feedback from other teams and professors. Place: Vlerick Business School, Belgium Period : from Monday 8 June 2015 till Friday 12 June 2015 In a second, four-day residential period, students mainly evaluate the ongoing project work regarding professional content and intercultural group process. They present their project work to the other students and the academic faculty

of each participating university or business school and receive feedback and answers to their questions. Company Project Part II: Place: The project continues in the company hosting a project. Period : Monday 15 June 2015 till Friday 10 July 2015 (five weeks) Residential III: Place: University of Bamberg, Germany Period: from Tuesday 13 July 2015 till Friday 17 July 2015 During a third, one-week residential period, participants present the results of their project work to experts in the field of international HRM. Master Programme in EHRM: The In-company projects What can you expect from our students? Each of the participating Business schools sends up to six of their best students to the programme, decided by a selection process. These are Masters Students with advanced knowledge in business administration and specific interests in HRM. They are fluent in English. The students work on the project in teams (by 2 to 4) on a full time basis during eleven weeks. It is possible to see the résumés of all participants beforehand, but you are not able to select specific students for your company. What do we expect from the host company? Facilities The company provides the students with the necessary facilities they need to perform their task (such as an office, computer, phone etc.). If students need to collect information from within the company on a certain topic, they need to have access to this information. Their confidentiality is guaranteed.

Project supervisor The company is asked to appoint a project supervisor who is responsible for the follow-up of the students project within the company and contact person for the students. Project evaluation During the last week of the in-company project, the company provides the students with the opportunity to do a presentation of their project work to the HR management. After completion of the project, the company will be asked to fill out an evaluation form which covers the consultancy report that the students have to write, their presentation and their effort and engagement. Students also present their project work to the jury of the EHRM programme during the third Residential Period in Bamberg. You are warmly welcome to join the presentations during residential III and to network with other HR managers present during these presentations. Cost Companies are expected to cover the accommodation costs for the company project duration as well as the travel expenses of the students (two tickets for arrival and departure). Bonuses are optional. Our estimate is 2600 Euro for two students. Additional costs occur in form of working costs related to the project (e.g. copy costs, phone costs, use of a computer, project-related travelling, etc.). Time frame The consultancy project will start immediately after the residential period I and will be finished just before residential period III. The students start working on their project on Monday 27 April 2015 until Friday 5 June 2015 for the first six weeks of the project. They continue working on their project on Monday 15 June 2015 until Friday 10 July 2015 for another five weeks. Examples of in-company projects
