Introduction The Online Check-In process is split into 4 steps and you will need to complete each step for every guest in your reservation. Step 1 consists of 4 parts but you only need to complete the Mandatory Questions. Some Questions will not be applicable to your Travel Plans and therefore we recommend that you only complete the Mandatory Questions which will make the process quicker and easier for you. The system will guide you through the process. You can determine the Guest you are filling in as the name will be at the top of each page in bold as shown below. Getting Started Log-In to Online Check-In I have submitted my booking information but I get the below message that my reservation I.D number cannot be found. Please ensure you are entering the sail date for your cruise, which can be found on your confirmation invoice and not the date you may be flying out to join the ship. You also need the correct reservation ID number, Surname of Guest as per your Royal Caribbean invoice & Ship Name. Please Note - you will not be able to access the online check-in within 3 days of your cruise. I receive a message when I am trying to log into the Online Check-In which says This can happen if you have already logged in to your reservation on the website and the reservation was not logged out of in the correct way. If so please allow 15 minutes for your booking to unlock and then try again. 2
Step 1 Guest Information This section contains 4 pages! Step 1 - Part 1 What does is this your legal name mean? This is to ensure that all guest names on your Cruise Reservation matches their Passport. If you have a hyphen or apostrophe in your name this will not show up. Instead it may show a space, which is accepted. Middle names are also now a requirement, so if you have one on your passport this must now be entered in the middle name field box. If you do not have a middle name then the box titled I do not have a middle name, needs to be selected. If your name on the booking is not as per your passport, please ask your Travel Agency to contact us immediately. If you have booked through us directly, then please call us. Do I need a Crown & Anchor Membership Number? No. This is an optional Question. If you are already a member of the Crown & Anchor Society, please input your number in the box. Otherwise this can be left blank. Step 1 - Part 2 What Questions in the Check-In must be answered? All boxes marked with an asterisk (*) must be completed, as shown below. Any mandatory questions not answered will be shown in RED. 3
What does the question Copy Information From mean? This can only be used once you have completed the check-in for at least 1 Guest in the reservation. You can then duplicate the information across to another Guest in the reservation to save time. Just select the name of the Guest you previously checked in from the drop down menu and the details will then be copied over. What do I need to fill in for Residence address 1, 2 and 3? This section is for your home address. You should fill out the boxes as per the example below. Please Please fill out the Postal Code without the space If you do add a space in the Postal Code you will get the below message advising you to remove the space. Once you remove the space, you will be able to continue on. I don t live in America, but it is asking for a US State? As this is a Mandatory question, please select Not Applicable which can be found at the top of the list in the drop down menu. 4
Step 1 Part 3 What Emergency Contact Information is required? We require contact details of someone not on your cruise, who can be contacted in case of emergency. Please enter their best contact telephone number. What is required under Document Type? Please select the Passport option from the list. This will then open up 2 boxes for you to enter in your passport number and Expiry date. Please note the passport details needed are for the Guests on the reservation, and not the Emergency Contact. I do not know what to answer for the question Will you be departing the United States within 8 hours? If you have a flight leaving the US on the same day as you disembark the ship you can answer the question as Yes. If you are continuing your holiday in the US please answer as No. You will then be asked to provide your Post Cruise Address, such as your hotel etc. Back To Back Cruisers: When filling out your 1st Cruise, Please answer Yes as you will be departing the U.S the same day on your 2 nd Cruise. Step 1 Part 4 Please note, the sections in Part 4 are not mandatory so do not have to be answered in order to complete the Check-In. However you cannot fill out just some of the questions, so please either bypass all questions or complete all questions. I have entered my Travel Plan Type and filled out the times, but I get the following message. This message will show up if the times entered do not match our recommended times arrivals and departures. To continue to the next step press Save & Continue. 5
Step 2 Onboard Expense Account Do I have to set up an Onboard Expenses Account Online? No, you can still complete the Online Check in without setting up an account. To complete this section you can change the option to I will not be setting up an Onboard Expense Account. You can then alter your account option at a later date, either online, at the pier or once onboard. How can I pay for other people travelling with me in a different reservation? Once you have set up your payment details, you can then click on the add and pay for Guests in another reservation link, as shown below. Fill out the details for the reservation you wish to add guests from. 6
Select the names you wish to add onto the account and click Save and continue. The Credit Card details show up under the wrong name. Can this be changed? This can be changed by following the below procedure. 1, Under step 2 select Edit against the guest who has the card payment Set up.. 7
2, Change the payment method from I would like to pay for my Onboard Expenses with a credit card to I would like to pay for my Onboard Expenses with cash. Confirm the account by Ticking the box, which Automatically selects all Guests in the reservation This will then take you back to the summary page, where you now need to repeat step 1 as above. 3, Next change the payment method from the cash account option to I will not be setting up an Onboard Expense Account. 8
Once you have completed the above step, it will take you back to the Summary Page, where you can then add the correct payment details, under the correct Guest We want to have 2 separate accounts. Can this be done? Yes this can be done as follows. First tick the box at the top next to the statement I would like to pay for the guests in the following reservation and grant them authority to sign on to this account. This will automatically select all guests in the reservation. Any Guests wishing to set up a separate account can be removed by removing the tick in the box next to their name. This will then exclude them from your account and you will see the word None on the summary page against Step 2. To create a separate onboard account for this Guest you can select Edit and follow the normal procedure. 9
Step 3 Booking Terms & Conditions What is this? As your booking has been made though the U.K office, there is nothing to read or agree to on the website, as this was done by referring to the website or brochure Terms and Conditions at the time of booking your cruise. Therefore all you need to do to continue on with the check-in process is to select the save and continue button. Step 4 Set Sail Pass I have completed all steps but there is no print option under step 4. This may be due to the sailing date still being a month or two away. Generally the Setsail pass is ready a few weeks before the sail date. All the information you have entered will be saved and you can log back in nearer the time to print out the passes. If the pass is still not available 2 weeks before you are due to go, please contact your Travel Agency who will be able to call us to check. Please also refer to our Brochure, Terms and Conditions, Point 1.5 I am clicking the Print Icon, but nothing happens. The SetSail Pass loads up in a separate window and your PC may consider it to be a Pop Up. Your computer or firewall may have security settings to prevent Pop Up windows opening. The security settings will vary depending on your PC and also the Anti Virus software installed, so you may need to refer to your PC manual for assistance. 10
Frequently Asked Questions How do I know that I have completed the check in? When all of the boxes have a green tick and they read as Completed. What can I do if a Step says Incomplete? This means you have not filled out all the required information we need. You will need to select the continue option. This will then open up the Step for you to check through the pages. Any mandatory questions which have been missed out will be written in Red. Do I get confirmation that I have completed the Online Check in? No, we do not send out a confirmation of completion, as this can be viewed on the summary page. As long as you have the green tick and the word Completed in steps 1 and 3 then this is your confirmation that the check-in process is complete. 11
Can I check the details I have entered into the Check-In and amend any details once I have completed the Steps? Yes, this can be done once you have checked in all guests in your party. You will have the option at the end to edit details you have filled in by clicking on the word Edit as shown below. 12
