INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS 1. Disabe power. 2. Open channe etter face(s), disconnect source and remove a baasts, neon or other ight source to be retrofitted. 3. Cean interior and exterior of sign. 4. Layout the modues ike neon, ony without doube-backs approximatey 2-4 per foot, depending on the modue type (see Figure 5 for spacing modues center-center). Be sure to test your first etter to make sure you are satisfied before proceeding. For power suppy oading, see Page 6. 6. Insta ength of product in etters by fastening mounting cips with VHB tape (suppied) or mechanicay through hoes in the cip, or both. Add siicone for additiona security if desired (see Figure 6). Figure 6: Exampe ayout 7. Connect separate runs of product within a etter using Quick Connect jumper wires with pre-crimped connectors. These wires come in pairs of Bue (negative) and Red (positive). Simpy connect one negative tab at the end of any modue on one run to a negative tab at the end of any modue on the second run. Then repeat process connecting a positive tab on one run to a positive tab on the other (Figures 7 and 8). See Wiring Diagram on Page 6 for further detais. INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS (cont) 8. The 36 Quick Connect jumper wires with cass 2 wire shoud be used to connect modues from etter to etter, whie the 5-Foot Whip is to be used to connect a run of modues to a power suppy (See Wiring Diagram on Page 6). Athough jumps can be made from etter to etter and then from the fina etter to the power suppy, the preferred method is to run each etter to the power suppy. The secondary wires on the power suppies are coor coordinated to match (Bue for negative and Red for positive or Back for negative and Yeow for positive on oder products). A runs through a wa must either be in a conduit or pass-thru or be made with cass 2 wire. See Figure 9 for an exampe instaation. Figure 9: Exampe ayout Limit the tota number of modues per run to 1/3 of the tota power suppy oad. This wi increase your oad baance and ight uniformity. For exampe: using the Point3 (PT3-3-12-W) on a 60W power suppy, you woud imit the tota number of modues on each run to 90 (or 30 feet) and connect at the midpoint. 9. Repair and sea any unused openings in the rain encosure. Openings greater than 1/2 inch diameter require a meta patch secured by screws or rivets and cauked with non-hardening cauk. Smaer openings may be seaed with non-hardening cauk. 10. Attach channe etter face(s). 11. Energize sign. Page 5
