Inviting ILO for partnership Schools invite Iowa Learning Online to act as a supporting partner in their students education. Schools choose which learners enroll, agree to provide them support, and award transcript credit. Iowa Learning Online provides curriculum, instruction and assessments.

Schools Agree to: Assign a school employee to serve as the student s coach. Provide school-day work time with technology. Provide any required course materials. Provide special education accommodations, transportation, etc. Award transcript credit based on an ILO percentage score upon successful completion of the course.
ILO Provides Support By: Supplying Iowa Core-aligned virtual curriculum. Facilitating instruction with Iowa-licensed and properly-endorsed teachers. Continuous opportunities for engagement and collaboration. Timely feedback regarding assignments and assessments.
The ILO Experience Visit IowaLearningOnline.org Your school creates: an administrator account student accounts coach accounts Your school administer selects courses and enrolls students. Students are encouraged by their coaches to engage early and remain active in their course.
The ILO Experience (cont.) Online teachers are actively engaged and available to students for questions and feedback in a timely manner. Student progress is reported to the coach, parents/guardians, and is always available online. ILO transcripts are sent to the designated administrator. Schools decide how to transcript the ILO achievement percentage.

ILO is not a Virtual Academy Iowa Learning Online (ILO) Currently no enrollment fees. Possible participation fee to cover costs in the future. Student remains in their home district Virtual Academy State funding follows the student Requires Open Enrollment Students still participate in home district courses and activities Student home district services remain - special education, school lunch, and extra-curricular activities Credit and diploma are awarded by the local school district Codified as the model for online learning in Iowa Students must receive all courses and activities through the academy s district To receive services, parents must transport students to the academy s district or services must be arranged by the academy s district Credit and diploma are awarded by the academy s district Iowa Code authorizing the academy will sunset July 1st, 2015. The Legislature is likely to revisit the topic.
