1. Background More calls than ever are being made/received using mobile phones, especially with the explosion of Smartphone's and flexible/home working. The DWG2001/4/8 SIP/GSM Gateways from Dinstar are a cost-effective SIP/GSM gateway for SOHO, SMEs and system integrators. The Dinstar GSM/VoIP gateways allow a SIP based IP PBX telephone system or VoIP line to be connected directly to the GSM cellular network, which can dramatically lower the cost of mobile calls by taking advantage of lower mobile to mobile tariffs. 2. Introduction This guide explains how to connect DWG VOIP gateway to 3CX via IP. We can configure the VOIP gateway and 3CX to achieve communication between softphone and mobile phone. In this way we can help customers save expensive telephone charges. 3. Connection 4. Configuration 4.1 3CX Configuration 1). Add Extension Click Add Extension button, as follow 2
Add the extension number 101 and 102 according to the diagram method. 2) Open 3CX softphone, 101 as an extension of the IP phone registered to 3CX soft-switch. As follows: 3
3) Click the bottom button, select the accounts button for register the IP phone to 3CX. Click New to add new extension number. 4). Add PSTN Gateway Click Add PSTN Gateway button, as follow: Then, add a DWG device as PSTN gateway as below: Click Next, filled in gateway hostname or IP Click Next, then change the authentication password for a password easy to remember. 4
Inbound Route Day and Inbound Route Night changed to just adding extension number 102. Click Next, in accordance with the following method fill in outbound rules. Here, destination number prefix is set to 4, the target number is 13421379706. Click finish to complete PSTN Gateway configuration. Click PSTN devices as follow 5
And then select just the configuration of the PSTN Gateway dinstar-dwg2008. Select Inbound Parameters and enter the following configuration page. SIP Field: Contact: Host Part Variable: Custom Field Custom Value: 172.16.55.80(DWG IP address) Then, click Add/Update and then click OK Click Ports/Trunks Status as follow Choose the PSTN relay set before, set Connect to Extension is 101(softphone extension number). 6
5). Inbound Rules Configure Inbound Rules. First, click Inbound Rules. Set in accordance with the following method. Till now, 3CX PBX is done. 7
4.2 Gateway Configuration Enter the gateway IP address in the browser s address bar. Enter a user name and password in the dialog box. User name and password are admin. After entering the following configuration page 8
1) System parameter setting Select System Configuration in left navigation tree. Enter Service Parameter configuration to set DTMF Parameter and other parameters. DTMF Parameter: this parameter should match with 3CX system, RFC2833 and SIGNAL optional; Allow Call from PSTN to IP without Registration: enable peer to peer call from PSTN to IP direction; Allow Call from IP to PSTN without Registration: enable peer to peer call from IP to PSTN direction; Keep default settings for other fields. 2) Configure SIP parameter SIP Server Address: 3CX PBX IP address SIP Server Port: 3CX PBX SIP port number Register Interval: expires time of REGISTER message, it indicates how long the DWG send re-register to 3CX PBX. Keep default settings for other fields. 9
3) Configure Port parameter Here, we set All ports register used same user ID to yes then all SIP ports would register with the same SIP account. SIP User ID: Virtual extention number of PSTN devices setting in 3CX PBX Authenticate ID: Authentication ID of PSTN devices setting in 3CX PBX Authenticate password: password set at PSTN devices of 3CX PBX if SIP authentication was set Keep default settings for other fields or change them as your need. 4) SIM port group configuration The device has a default port group setting, change or add port group as your need: Add port 0 to 5 to port group, 3CX extension could be able to make outgoing calls with those 6 SIM ports. 10
5) Routing Configuration Modify default IP->Tel Routing Source Prefix: all the caller number must match the source prefix. It specifies the source prefix allow to send call out Any: include anonymous, 0xxxx, 1[2-9]xxxx etc. Source IP: SIP server which is 3CX PBX IP. Destination Prefix:called number must match the destination prefix, any means allow to called any number Destination: destination SIM port or port group You can change destination prefix and IP->tel routing as your need Modify default Tel->IP Routing Source Prefix: all the caller number must match the source prefix. It specifies the source prefix allow to send call out Any: include anonymous, 0xxxx, 1[2-9]xxxx etc. Source: it indicate source SIM channel incoming from mobile to 3CX PBX Destination Prefix:called number must match the destination prefix, any means allow to called any number Destination: mobile call to 3CX PBX 11
You can change destination prefix and Tel->IP routing as your need 5). Restart equipment Click restart button of tools to reboot the device and wait 30 seconds to make configuration affect. 5. Test 1) Dial 4 on IP phone can call the number for 1342137xxxx mobile user. 2) Dial gateway 0 port SIM card number can call IP phone registered on3cx. Configuration is completed. 12
