Introduction The DWG SIP/GSM Gateway from Dinstar is a cost-effective SIP/GSM gateway for SOHO, SMEs and system integrators, and also opens up new revenue generating opportunities for service providers. The GSM gateway allows a SIP based IP PBX telephone system or VoIP line to be connected directly to the GSM cellular network, which can dramatically lower the cost of mobile calls by taking advantage of lower mobile-to-mobile tariffs. Xlite Settings 2.1 Download and install xlite Download X-LITE 3.0 and install it: Edit... new link is: Enable UDP ports in your firewall You might have to open the following ports in your router/firewall: UDP 3478 UDP 5060 UDP 8000 UDP Start to configure SIP account Open X-LITE and click on the small down arrow and then on SIP Account Settings: 2.4 Add a SIP account Click on Add button: 4 / 9

5 2.5 Configure SIP account information In the Account tab, enter your account information: a. Display name : Your user name, Tim as exmaple b. User name : Your user name, 1000 as example c. Password : Your password, can be null for peer to peer call d. Authorization user name : your user name, 1000 as example 5 / 9

6 e. Proxy : IP/Domain name of GSM gateway, f. Domain Proxy:none g. Register with domain and receive incoming call: disable 2.6 change default SIP port of xlite Change the local SIP port to 5060 under Topology tab. Xlite will generate random SIP port by default. Click OK to save the setting. 6 / 9

Outbound call setting of GSM gateway 3.1 Add an SIP trunk IP Trunk Configuration-> IP Trunk, add a SIP to xlite, the IP is the PC that installed xlite 3.2 Enable Peer to Peer parameters System configuration\service Parameter Allow Call from GSM to IP without Registration: Yes Allow Call from IP to GSM without Registration: Yes 3.3 Configure outbound call routing Modify default routing rule under Routing configuration-> IP->Tel Routing page. Source IP: IP 0 that added under IP Trunk page Source and destination prefix: any, any is wildcard prefix to match all number Destination to port 0 *Notes: DWG2000-1G without this option 7 / 9

8 Till now, x-lite would make outbound calls through GSM gateway successful. 4. Inbound call setting of GSM gateway 4.1 Modify default inbound routing Modify the default Tel->IP Routing under Routing Configuration-> Tel->IP Routing page. Destination IP0 is the IP trunk to x-lite. 4.2 configure Tel-> IP Operation rule Enable auto call to xlite under Operation\Tel->IP Operation page, click ADD button to create new rule. 4.3 Configure destination number x-lite. Under System Configuration -> Port Parameter page,1000 is the extension number of 8 / 9

9 5. Make outbound and inbound calls setting. Enable CDR before call testing under Statistics->CDR page, enable CDR and save the 5.1 Make outbound call Dial the destination number as example with xlite, you could see the status under system information page during call progress.
