Edward Bowles Mr Bowles is the Regional Head of Corporate and Public Affairs, Europe at Standard Chartered Bank, where he has held a number of roles since 2007. He is also a member of a number of European financial services industry association committees, covering international regulatory issues and trade negotiations. Prior to this, he was a UK civil servant at the Ministry of Justice, where he served as Private Secretary to the Permanent Secretary and to two Ministers, and as Head of Human Rights Policy. He also spent eight years in the UK Crown Prosecution Service as a barrister, and was a member of the General Council of the Bar for seven years. His academic background is in law and business administration. Page 2 of 11

Jos Dings Jos Dings is Director of T&E, the European Federation for Transport and Environment. Established in 1990, T&E represents around 45 organisations across Europe, mostly environmental groups and campaigners working for sustainable transport policies at national, regional and local level. Transport policy should minimise harmful impacts on the environment and health, maximise efficiency of resources, including energy and land, and guarantee safety and sufficient access for all. T&E s work is focused on the areas where European and global policies have the potential to achieve the greatest environmental benefits. These include transport pricing so that polluters, not society, pay for pollution, setting standards for the cleanest possible cars, vans, lorries, ships, planes, and fuels, and greening EU investment in transport. Before joining T&E in 2004, Jos worked at CE Delft, an environmental consultancy, where he headed the transport division. Jos graduated in Mechanical Engineering at the Delft University of Technology. Page 3 of 11

Benedicte Federspiel Ms Federspiel has spent more than forty years working on consumer affairs, both in Denmark, Europe and internationally. After having been the Executive Director of the Danish Consumer Council for many years, during which she also held important positions internationally, she now mainly concentrates on legal matters, ministerial committees, standardisation and Nordic, European and international consumer policy work in the Consumer Council. Benedicte Federspiel is a Danish member of the Social and Economic Committee of the EU and holds a number of important positions in the European and international consumer political scene, among them member of the European Consumer Consultative Group of the European Commission (ECCG) and member of the European Board of the TransAtlantic Consumer Dialogue (TACD). Benedicte Federspiel was for a long time President - and is now Treasurer of ANEC, the European organisation for Consumer Representation in Standardisation and Certification. Mella Frewen Ms Frewen has been Director-General of FoodDrinkEurope, representing Europe's largest manufacturing industry, since July 2007. Her previous positions include roles at Monsanto, dealing with agricultural biotechnology, conventional agriculture and agri-chemistry, and at Eridania Béghin-Say, Gruppo Ferruzzi. She has a wide experience of relations with relevant international and EU institutions, and trade associations within the food chain, as well as with the agricultural and chemical sectors. She is currently a member of the EU Commission s High Level Steering Board for the European Innovation Partnership for Agricultural Productivity and Sustainability, and member of several other food-industry related Boards. Ms Frewen is Chair of the ACEI (the Alliance for a Competitive European Industry) and Vice President of the OECD s Advisory Group for Responsible Business Conduct along Agricultural Supply Chains. Her academic background is in science and international management. Monique Goyens Ms Goyens is currently Director General of the BEUC, the European Consumers' Organisation. She is also co-chair of the Transatlantic Consumer Dialogue, a network of EU and US consumer organisations. Her previous experience includes ten years managing the Commission Universitaire pour le Développement, an organisation building links between Belgian francophone universities and their counterparts in the developing world. Her academic background is in law. Page 5 of 11

Ivan Hodac Mr Hodac is former Secretary General of ACEA, the European Automobile Manufacturers' Association. In total he has almost thirty years' experience of senior representation and policy analysis for business associations and multinational companies in a variety of industries in Europe. He previously undertook similar roles for the European office of Time Warner and for the International Federation of Margarine Associations. His academic background, including as an assistant at the College of Europe, ranges from mechanical engineering to European economic studies. Tom Jenkins Mr Jenkins is the Senior Advisor to the General Secretary of the European Trade Union Confederation. He is currently co-chair of the Civil Society Forum set up under the EU-Korea FTA, and chair of its Domestic Advisory Group. His experience in the trade union field began in 1973 when he joined the Trades Union Congress in the UK. His roles have included a secondment to the Foreign & Commonwealth Office and the presidency of the European Economic and Social Committee. Page 6 of 11

Pascal Kerneis Mr Kerneis is the Managing Director of the European Services Forum. He has held a number of advisory roles in EU trade policy, including on the Civil Society Forum of the EU-Korea FTA and in DG Trade's Contact Group. His previous experience includes nearly ten years working on international affairs for the European Banking Federation, and as a legal expert for the European Commission. His academic background is in European law. Susanne Løgstrup Ms Løgstrup is Director of the European Heart Network (EHN). EHN is a Brussels-based alliance of heart and stroke organisations in Europe. Ms Løgstrup represents EHN, the European Commission-led Platform for Action on Diet, Physical Activity and Health. She is a Board member of the Smoke Free Partnership (SFP) and a member of the Steering Committee of the European Chronic Disease Alliance (ECDA). In her personal capacity, Ms Løgstrup is a member of the Stakeholder Dialogue Group. Previously, Ms Løgstrup was an Attorney-at-law in Copenhagen and Paris. Her academic background is in law and business administration. She is a Fellow of the European Society of Cardiology (FESC). Page 7 of 11

Guido Nelissen Mr Nelissen is economic advisor to the Industriall European Trade Union. Industriall represents 7.1 million workers of nearly 200 European trade unions in industry. Prior to this, he was economic advisor to the metals branch of the Belgian trade union ACV-CSC. Guido has longstanding experience in industrial policy, macro-economic policies and financial analysis. His academic background is in economics and business finance. Felix Neugart Mr Neugart is Managing Director for International Economic Policy at the Association of German Chambers of Commerce and Industry (DIHK). DIHK is a member of EUROCHAMBRES, the Association of European Chambers of Commerce and Industry, representing 20 million European companies, 93% of which are SMEs. Mr Neugart coordinates DIHK s activities in the areas of Trade Policy, Transatlantic Relations and Foreign Economic Policy. The special focus of these initiatives is making trade work for small and medium-sized enterprises. He joined DIHK in 2006, and held senior roles in the International Affairs and Middle East and North Africa sections. His academic background is in Political Science. Page 8 of 11

Pekka Pesonen Mr Pesonen is Secretary-General of COPA-COGECA, an agricultural lobby representing 70 national farm organisations in Europe. He previously worked for the Finnish Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry as state secretary. In addition, he has wide professional experience in the Finnish food industry and in working with the EU. Mr Pesonen's academic background is in agricultural economics. Pieter de Pous Mr de Pous is Policy Director for the European Environmental Bureau, where he has worked since 2005 covering areas including biodiversity and agriculture. Previously he worked for the WWF International Accession Initiative in Vienna as a consultant. His academic background is in forest and nature management, including wildlife conservation, and international administration. Page 9 of 11

Reinhard Quick Mr Quick is the director of the European office of VCI, the German chemical industries association, and chairman of Businesseurope's working group on Free Trade Agreements and the World Trade Organisation. He has worked in these areas since 1984, when he first joined VCI as a Trade Policy Advisor in Frankfurt. In 2006 he was appointed honorary professor for international economic law at the University of Saarland in Saarbrücken where he teaches a course on trade and environment. His academic background is in law. Nina Renshaw Ms Renshaw is Secretary-General of the European Public Health Alliance (EPHA). With 97 member organisations, EPHA is Europe's leading NGO advocating for the protection and improvement of public health. EPHA's diverse membership includes health professionals, patient groups and disease-specific groups working together to strengthen the voice of health in all policies. EPHA calls for equitable solutions to health challenges, reduction of health inequalities and universal access to sustainable and high quality health systems. Prior to joining EPHA in 2014, Ms Renshaw's academic background in international business and political science led her to work in logistics and on sustainable transport policies. She has been a delegate to the World Health Organisation, the United Nations Economic Commission for Europe, and was a member of the European Commission's High-Level Group on red tape reduction. Luisa Santos Ms Santos is the Director for International Relations at Businesseurope. Her principal experience is in the textiles sector, having acted first as the chief representative for the Portuguese textile industry in Brussels, and later as Trade and Industry Manager for Euratex, the European Apparel and Textile Confederation. She was also the manager responsible for international partnerships including a joint venture in India for a leading Portuguese textiles company. Her academic background is in law and management.
