Counselling Skills Taster There are no entry requirements f this taster. to apply online go to www.nthtyneside.gov.uk/ala The session will give you a broad introduction to Counselling Skills. It will help prepare you f the range of counselling courses on offer in the Alliance. Assessment Not applicable. 1 session. Not applicable. What else do I need to know? This is a free course f people wanting to find out me about Counselling. What could I do next? The Counselling Skills Introduction course is recommended as a next step.

Counselling Skills Introduction to apply online go to www.nthtyneside.gov.uk/ala No previous experience qualifications are required. The Counselling Skills Introduction is a preparaty course f people wanting to enrol ( considering enrolling) on the Certificate in Counselling Skills Level 2. Learners will: Be introduced to basic counselling skills Complete reflective journals to build a mini ptfolio Receive advice and guidance on counselling courses, qualifications and careers Understand the requirements and commitments of the Certificate in Counselling Skills Level 2. Assessment Your tut will assess and recd your progress through the completion of reflective journals. 4 sessions. It is a requirement that you attend 90% of the taught sessions to ensure you have the best chance of achieving the accreditation, so please think carefully befe enrolling on this course if you have wk commitments that may interfere with this attendance. You do not need to be wking in counselling to undertake this course, but voluntary wk a job role were you can use counselling skills is recommended f progression to the Level 2 course. You will complete reflective journals and a personal self assessment during the course to introduce you to the assessment methods required f the Certificate in Counselling Level 2. What could I do next? The next step is the Certificate in Counselling Skills Level 2. Candidates can then progress to the Diploma in Counselling Skills and They Level 3. The units of study are: Using counselling skills Introduction to counselling skills theies Diversity and ethics in the use of counselling skills Counselling skills and personal development. Assessment Awarding body: NCFE Your ptfolio of wk is the only assessment requirement of the course. What else do I need to know? Counselling Skills Certificate Level 2 You should expect to do an additional two hours a week home study and research. What could I do next? You could progress on to the Diploma in Counselling Skills and They Level 3. To become a fully qualified counsell, you must gain a Diploma in Counselling Level 4, after which you may seek British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) accreditation.

This free advice and guidance session provides an overview of the requirements f the Level 3 Diploma in Counselling Skills course. There will be an opptunity to speak to the tut, who will brief you fully about the course content, in preparation f the first session. 1 session Please attend if you are enrolling on the level 3 Diploma. What else do I need to know? Learners will be set wk to complete at home and must take responsibility f producing evidence f their ptfolio. What could I do next? Counselling Skills and They Diploma Level 3 Advice and Guidance To become a qualified counsell, you must undertake a Level 4 Diploma in Counselling. Attainment of the Level 3 qualification provides a progression route to a Level 4 Diploma, after which learners may seek British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) accreditation as a counsell.

Have completed the Certificate in Counselling Skills Level 2 the Award in Helping Skills Level 2. 2. Attend the Diploma in Counselling Skills and They Level 3 Advice and Guidance Session. This qualification is f people interested in using counselling skills in their main wk role in a wide range of sects, f those hoping to continue their studies to achieve accredited counsell status with one of the accrediting professional bodies. The units cover: Developing counselling skills Theetical approaches in the use of counselling skills Wking ethically with counselling skills Counselling skills and diversity Counselling skills in personal development.
