4 Accounting AAT Level 2 Certificate P/T Day Adult The AAT Level 2 covers a range of basic accounting practices and techniques, from costing and double-entry bookkeeping to computerised accounting. It s ideal if you re new to working in finance or you re looking to develop your existing knowledge and skills. AAT Level 3 Certificate P/T Day Adult The AAT Level 3 covers more advanced aspects of accounting including financial records, cost accounting, reports and returns, IT environment and spreadsheets. AAT Level 4 Certificate P/T Day Adult Level 4 is the final level of AAT Accounting. It covers higher level accounting tasks, including drafting financial statements, managing budgets and evaluating financial performance. You ll also have the opportunity to specialise in areas from tax to auditing. 3

5 Beauty Auricular Therapy (Hopi Ear Candling) L2 Award START: Oct / Dec / Feb / April/Jun DURATION: TBC This course will help to develop your basic knowledge, practical skills and competencies in providing ear candling treatments on clients. Threading Level 2 Award START: Sep / Nov / Jan / May DURATION: TBC Our threading course is suitable for beauty therapists who want to upgrade their beauty therapy skills. We will teach you all of the safe and professional threading hair removal techniques. Self-Tanning Level 3 START: Oct / Dec / Feb / April DURATION: TBC The Level 3 Award in self tanning programme covers Anatomy & Physiology to develop and provide an in-depth understanding of the human body. Nail Technology Level 2 Certificate This Level 2 Nail Technology course is aimed at anyone wishing to learn about creating artificial nail enhancements. 4

6 Counselling Introduction to Counselling Skills Level 2 Award (Daytime) DURATION: 10 Weeks This 10-week long course will give you some insight into the nature of counselling work and help you to decide whether you want to proceed with further counselling skills training, as well as enhance your interpersonal skills. Counselling Skills Level 2 Certificate CPCAB (Evening or Daytime) /January This course provides a thorough and intensive grounding in counselling skills with an introduction to the Person-centred counselling model. Emphasis is on the acquisition of skills rather than academic attainment. Counselling Studies Level 3 Certificate CPCAB (Evening or Daytime) This course provides a sound introduction to the counselling profession and the setting that counsellors work in. You will learn about the professional framework, ethics,and the range of skills that the counsellor uses. Therapeutic Counselling Level 4 Diploma The programme involves an intensive programme of Counselling theory and skills, as well as training to manage a caseload in the setting of a voluntary counselling placement. 5

7 Gaming Gambling Operations Level 2 Diploma C&G This is a Casino Croupier Training Course where students are taught to deal the games to the standard required to work in a British Casino. Games taught include; Roulette, Blackjack and Poker. In addition, learners will be taught Casino procedures, an introduction to the Gambling, Law and the service skills including; Customer Services, Social Responsibility (Problem Gambling) and Team Work, while learning about the equipment used, the rules and object of the game, checking and handling and odds. 6

8 GCSEs GCSE Maths GCSE Mathematics is a modular course. You will cover: Money & Numbers Statistics & Probability Algebra Geometry GCSE English GCSE English is divided into three areas: Speaking and Listening (an oral assessment) Reading (the study of selected poems, a Shakespeare play and a novel) Writing (a range of tasks, including short-story and autobiographical assignments) In addition, students must compile a written coursework folder under controlled conditions. GCSE Science This is a single GCSE in Science. You will study: Biology Chemistry Physics This course is suitable for adults who require science at GCSE to progress onto Teacher Training and LSA courses. 7

9 Sport Fitness Instructing Level 2 The Fitness Instructing Level 2 Certificate CYQ (19+) course will include a range of units to prepare you for your journey with Greenwich Community College or employment, some of the units will include: Planning and Instructing Gym Based Exercise Anatomy and Physiology for exercise Principles of Exercise, Fitness and Health Know how to support clients who take part in exercise and physical activity Health, safety and welfare in a fitness environment Personal Training Level 3 Certificate CYQ (19+) DURATION: 20 Weeks This course includes modules in: Anatomy and Physiology for Exercise and Health: Applying the Principles of Nutrition as Part of a Personal Training Programme Programming Personal Training With Clients Delivering Personal Training 8

10 Supporting Learning / Teaching Education and Training Award Level 3 NCFE The Award in Education and Training is a short course designed to enable you to undertake teaching, training or learning tasks relevant to their own training or teaching situation. Supporting Teaching & Learning in Schools Level 2 Certificate NCFE C2 The Level 2 NCFE Supporting Teaching & Learning in Schools course will help you gain the practical understanding you need to support a teacher and help the pupils get the most from their lessons. Supporting Teaching & Learning in Schools Level 3 Certificate NCFE C2 This course focuses on understanding, supporting, safeguarding and developing children and young people. It not only covers the theoretical knowledge underpinning the work of a teaching assistant, but it also requires a practical and competence-based element giving you the opportunity to conduct some of your learning in the workplace. 9

11 Teaching English This course is ideal for you if you intend to teach ESOL (English to Speakers of Other Languages) and/or EFL (English as a Foreign Language) to adults.
