How to Post a Job Ad May 2010
1. Posting A New Job Ad New Client (Not Registered) The registration process is very straight forward. From the Advertisers section, select Post a Job Ad from the Quick Links menu. 2. Select Your Job Pack Membership Select the option that suits your company. Remember these jobs credits can be used over a 6 month period and the more job ads you buy, the less each will cost. Each posted job ad will last up to 45 days, not one month like most other jobsboards. Your WestJobs ad will be posted as a Premium Ad, meaning it will be listed above any aggregated content, giving your ad far greater exposure. You ad will stand out as it has a distinctive grey background with the Premium Ad logo in the top right corner. Example of Posted Job Ad
3. Registration Step 1 - Registering Your Company Details You will now enter a 6 step process that can take from 10 20 minutes, with steps 3, 5 & 6 being optional. Most questions in this section are compulsory as this information will used to contact you if necessary and can also be used for your optional entry in our Advertisers Directory. You can enter more than one office location if you are likely to post jobs from another office. Enter the State of your companies main office as, WA, NSW, QLD, NT, etc. The field Company URL is for your website address and is optional. It needs to be entered without the http:// e.g. www.westjobs.com.au. 4. Registration Step 2 - Setting Primary Contact Details The email address and password will control your WestJobs account and allow you to sign into the system. Please note - that if you register as a Jobseeker as well as an Advertiser, each account will have their own sign in and password. You must enter at least one of the phone number fields and can add more than one contact by using the Add another contact link.
5. Registration Step 3 Upload Your Company Logo (Optional) Your logo appears on your company details page, when a jobseeker views your job postings. Your logo also appears in your Advertiser Directory listing, so it is important. Logos should be: In a JPG or GIF format. ideally 120-140 pixels wide max 190 pixels wide If you Browse and select your logo, please make sure you do not forget to click on Upload Logo before the Save Changes button. If you want to load your logo later or are not sure what to do, click on Save and Continue. If you have any issues, please use the 2nd box and send us your logo. We will resize it for you. 6. Registration Step 4 Plans And Pricing Membership If you are paying by credit card, please confirm your purchase. Not Paying by Credit Card? If you wish to pay by EFT or cheque, please select: Skip pack selection for now at the bottom of this page and COMPLETE the rest of the registration process. Under certain circumstances this link may not be shown. If that is the case, please click on Advertiser Directory Listing under the Account heading on the left hand side of the page to move to the next step. All your details will be recorded and we will call you to confirm the Job Pack Membership, payment method and price. Please note - not paying by credit card will delay your ability to start posting jobs, so we do advise you to pay online, but understand not everyone will be able to. If you skip pack selection payment, please go to item 9 (Step 6 Advertisers Directory).
7. Registration Step 4 (Continued) - Plans And Pricing Confirmation This confirmation page will only appear if you have not skipped the payment step. You can change the Plan or select Buy Now to be taken to our secure online payment server. 8. Registration Step 5 Pay Online (Optional) Please complete the payment page by filling in your credit card details. Some of your personal information may be filled in from details already entered. 10% GST will be added to your Job Pack price and to confirm purchase, please select the Authorise Payment button. It may take a short time to process. Please do not press the Authorise Payment button again, as you may end up paying twice. Once complete you will be taken back to the WestJobs website for the final registration step.
9. Registration Step 6 Advertisers Directory (Optional) This is a FREE service to allow all advertisers to list their company in our Advertisers Directory. This is an optional part of the service, but each entry links to your own page on our website that you control. You can upload logos, company information and it will also populate all the contact details from your registration. There is a link in the Advertisers Directory to every job that is loaded through your account, so it will give your job posting added exposure. If you wish to have a FREE entry, please ensure you tick the check box List my business in the Advertisers Directory. You can add additional headings with the 2 nd drop-down box to really make your directory listing stand out. The Advertisers Directory listing can be added later, if you want to register and post a job quickly. Once you have finished your registration, you will be signed into your account, in your own control panel area. From here you will be able manage all activities from job posting, job applications, resume downloads, resume alerts, etc. If you have paid for a Job Pack Membership, you will now be able to post a job, which is performed by filling in a one page form and very straight forward. You can include screening questions with ideal answer management to prioritise candidates.
10. Post a New Job If you are not already signed into WestJobs, go to http://westjobs.com.au and click on the Advertisers section tab in the top menu bar or go to: http://westjobs.com.au/employer/default.aspx On the Advertisers home page, click on the Sign in link at the top of the page. Once signed in you will see the following page with your own details. All menu links on the left hand side are expandable and will reveal multiple options: Have a look around the menus to get an idea of what can be controlled from here. You should find it quite comprehensive. You can manage ads, applications, view your job ad stats and of course post job ads.
Post a Job Ad If you have already purchased a Job Pack Membership, click on the right hand link Post a New Job in the page above or in the Quick Links on the left hand side and you will be taken into the Post a Job screen below. This is a one page job ad entry screen. Shown here is only part of the Post a Job screen, but hopefully the process should be easy to follow and at the end you can add screening questions to assist you in candidate selection. Remember you can always update a job at a later date.
