Community Foundation Scholarships: These four scholarships are only available through the Hancock County Community Foundation via their website at www.community-foundation.com starting February 5, 2014. These applications are submitted to The Community Foundation online prior to March 26. When you complete the online application, but sure to check the box that indicates that you are a student. Nathan C. Wilson Trade and Industrial Technology Memorial Scholarship $400 Scholarship Graduating senior in Construction, Welding, Automotive, Engineering, or Cosmetology who has demonstrated outstanding achievement while at Millstream and intends to pursue employment in their area of trade or industry. Complete the online Community Foundation common application by March 26. Loren Steiner Auto Shop Memorial Scholarship $400 Scholarship Graduating Automotive senior. Scholarships: The seven scholarships/awards listed below are only available through the completion of the attached common application directly to Millstream. All applications and 2 teacher evaluations per student are due to Mrs. Wallace or Mr. Renn by Tall Timbers Industrial Park Award of Merit Four $500 Awards (Two awards for a Tech Prep student and two awards for a Career-Technical student) Applicant must be a graduating senior from Millstream enrolled in a tech prep or career-technical program. Applicant must have excellent school attendance and demonstrate excellent work habits and employability skills. Use the MCC application to apply for this. Deadline to submit to Mrs. Wallace or Mr. Renn is Findlay Elks Lodge Trades and Industrial Award $200 Scholarship Applicant must be enrolled in a trades or industrial program. Use the MCC application to apply for this. Deadline to submit to Mrs. Wallace or Mr. Renn is Rotary Career-Technical Award Name on plaque and $100 Supply or Tool Voucher Graduating senior from any career-technical program except business. Use the MCC application to apply for this award. Deadline to submit to Mrs. Wallace or Mr. Renn is Rotary Business Education Award ($100 Supply Voucher) Name on plaque and $100 Supply Voucher Graduating senior enrolled in a Millstream business education program. Deadline to submit to Mrs. Wallace or Mr. Renn is Other Scholarship Sources: Tech Prep- Several area post-secondary institutions reward students that have successfully completed two-year career tech programs. You will need to contact the admissions counselor of your chosen school and inquire about these types of awards. Owens Community College, Rhodes State Community College, Northwest State Community College and the University of Northwestern Ohio all offer these types of scholarships. Merit- Home Schools- Please see Mrs. Wallace in the Administrative Office to obtain specific applications or contacts for merit-based awards from the following institutions: Owens State Community College Rhodes State Community College Browne Mackie College DeVry University These are DIFFERENT than Tech Prep. Be sure to apply for local scholarships available through your home school counselor. Other Information: Some institutions will accept our Compass scores. Contact Mrs. Wallace if you need scores sent to an admissions counselor. When completing college paperwork, be sure to include credit hours that you earned through dual enrollment or articulated agreements. Complete the FAFSA NOW if you have not already done so.
