Being developed on Railtel network for other Railway. UTS is implemented in 5829 locations, 60.95 Crore passengers booked, earning `1565.74 crore during August, 2015 1924 ATVMs is working out of 2170 commissioned over NR, NWR, WR, CR, ER, SER, ECoR, SR and SCR over major suburban / non-suburban stations. PAM (Punctuality), Coaching Maintenance Management and Coaching (CMM) pilot is running in three pilot Maintenance Module depots namely, BCT/WR, NDLS/NR (CMM) Pilot and LKO/NR. NTES web NTES application is running at interface enquiry.indianrail.gov.in. Windows and Android Apps are available for concurrent areas to NTES. 39 Railway websites are hosted on the IR Web-Portal. SMS and Web-based Complaint Management System operational. Booking of Retiring Rooms is available for 483 stations through station terminals and the Internet. E-procurement System (EPS) Material Management Information System (MMIS) E-Tendering module working on all the Zonal Rlys, Production Units and other units of IR. More than 8.07 lakh tenders published through the E- Procurement System. Over `6984 Cr. worth of scrap material auctioned through E-Auction system. The order however did not mention anything about the future course of action for IT enabled RPF Security Helpline Project sanctioned as Plan Head 17 Project in 2010-11. 1. The EEMS website and Application for manual Data entry forms for various Energy Data Modules were designed, developed and deployed on test bed environment. 2. Rail Saver Website is available at https://www.railsaver.gov.in. 3. PO has been issued to M/s HCL Technologies Ltd. for Pilot demonstration of Energy Efficient Technology on IT platform through 500 AMR Meters on 31.10.2014 4. Installation and Commissioning of IT Hardware (Rack, Servers and SAN etc.)for Pilot demonstration of Energy Efficient Technology on IT platform through 500 AMR Meters project has been completed. 1. The revised detailed estimate for four Divisions of Indian Railways is prepared and sent to Northern Railway for sanction as advised by Railway Board. 2. Test Bed implementation of proposed enhancement for extension of software upto GM s level has been done for 4 zonal Railways viz. SCR, ECR, NWR and ECoR. Integration with PAMS and MR Cell RFMS has been done. O&M support is provided to already implemented modules. Detailed estimate has been sanctioned by Railway Board on 11.4.2014 and MoU to be signed with NR. System installed, log analysis etc. being carried out Detail estimate has been sanctioned by Railway Board. Development under progress. Railway Board has decided to hold the work till allotment of S-MSS bandwidth by ISRO. Project was delayed due to unavailability of funds. Out of 16, Funds / commitment received from only 12 Zonal Railways. 6 of 23
(B) PROJECT STATUS 1 FREIGHT OPERATIONS INFORMATION SYSTEM (FOIS) IREPG E-Payment facility for 10 new customers was commissioned during August 2015. The E-payment facility has been provided to a total of 878 customers. In addition, facility of 50 existing customers was also extended due to expiry of LC/BG. A total of `6464.4 crores (`208 crores per day) of freight payment was done through E-payment during August 2015 which is around 79.23 % of the total freight. 2 PASSENGER RESERVATION SYSTEM PRS is working at 3,285 locations with 11,941 PRS terminals. On an average, 5.47 crore passengers are being booked in PRS with average Passenger Earnings of `3111.49 crores during August 2015. In the corresponding period of August 2014, total 5.57 crore passengers were booked from 11,199 PRS Terminals at 3,109 Locations resulting in total earnings of `3186.36 crore. WAP & SMS Gateway for PRS and NTES Website The SMS Gateway project for sending SMS alerts to passengers in case of status change in the PRS tickets, as compared to the initial booking status (For ex. W/L to RAC, RAC to Confirm, W/L to Confirm) was launched by Hon ble Minister of State for Railways on 03.03.2014. The Pre-Chart SMS alerts are being sent once a day, beginning from 5 days before the journey date and also after post charting (which is done approx. 3-4 hours before train departure). The post chart SMS alerts convey the actual Berth No., Coach No. and RAC Seat No. for those passengers whose final Charting status has changed as compared to the initial booked status. In case of any ticket upgradation or seat re-allotment SMS alerts are being sent. On an average approximately 1.5 lac SMS alerts are being sent on daily basis. Next Generation E-ticketing (NGeT) Number of maximum concurrent users on nget.irctc.co.in as on 13 th August, 2015 had been 1,48,552. B. Dashboard New Requirement i. RDS Hour wise / Minute wise Report Enhancement i. Case: TDR filed against fully WL PNR and PNR drop after Charting Changes done not to display the TDR details if refund has been granted through drop WL scheduler ii. Remove check for at least one small letter in Username from all reports iii. Refund Batch changes for Bank Id int to Long for RDS refund because it is 20 digit long iv. I-ticket printing through the dashboard application should not be allowed for i- ticket booked through user of type 51. Details should not be displayed in the list & search filter. v. Make changes in TDR batch for stopping CR registration request against PNR whose train is cancelled. vi. Drop WL scheduler: separate status should be defined for Seized PNR & Allotment done in diff TDRC. And once the status is defined, these PNRs should not be pickup for cancellation through the WL scheduler Issue Fixed i. D. Agent Interface New Functionality :- i. Functionality has been developed for checking Ticket/PNR details, TDR status & Cancel Ticket status by Agent & Sub-Agent. And also option to cancel ticket/pnr has been provided. ii. Functionality has been developed for Master Agent to Manage Sub-Agent (User Management) iii. Functionality has been developed for password management of Agents & Sub- Agent iv. Being developed on Railtel network for other Railway. 3 UNRESERVED TICKETING SYSTEM Unreserved Ticketing System A total of 60.95 crore passengers were served, resulting in total earning of `1565.74 crore during the month of August 2015 as compared to 58.33 crore passengers and `1624.44 crore earnings during August 2014, thereby showing an increase of 4.48% and decrease of 3.61% in total passengers served and earnings respectively. On an average, UTS served 1.97 crore passengers and earned `50.51 crore each day in August 2015. At present UTS is functioning at 5829 locations and running at 11787 Counters. Automatic Ticket Vending Machines and their Expansion across Zonal Railways 1924 ATVMs is working out of 2170 commissioned over NR, NWR, WR, CR, ER, SER, ECoR, SR and SCR over major suburban / non-suburban stations. 10 of 23
Capacity enhancement and Disaster Recovery System for UTS UTS server capacity enhanced; DR for connected client is set up for all Zonal Railways. Set up for thin clients / ATVMs is in progress. Unreserved Ticketing System through Mobile at Mumbai and Chennai suburban region (as pilot for one year) The pilot project has been inaugurated by MR on 27/12/2014 at Dadar suburban station, Mumbai with Windows & Android Application. Tickets are printed through existing ATVMs at stations. Hon ble MR inaugurated mobile paperless tickets for Chennai area on 22/04/2015. 4 COMPUTERIZED CONTROL CHARTING COA Application is running in all the 77 divisions/area Control Offices of the Indian Railways. Integration between COA and FOIS, adjoining COA, NTES and ICMS is completed in all 68 divisional control offices. New Time table schedules were created in ICMS application, and the data was successfully transferred to the COA application to ensure updated time table availability with the section controllers. 5 CREW MANAGEMENT SYSTEM (CMS) Number of lobbies commissioned 383 Daily call served through CMS system at present Nearly 51,444 Crew Bio data in CMS system 1,01,888 Total lobbies commissioned are 383 (380 + 2+1) 380 Lobbies, 2 training schools at UDZ & MLY) and 1 as CMS/CRIS/NDLS-HQ. Last lobby created : SR / MDU / MVN on 10.08.2015 6(a) INTEGRATED COACHING MANAGEMENT SYSTEM (ICMS) The ICMS application is hosted on central server located in CRIS, Chanakyapuri accessed over FOISNET. It is a browser based application and can be run from any client on FOISNET. Approx. 1000 clients are running on FOISNET on thin clients/pcs. This has three applications as Punctuality Analysis and Monitoring (PAM), Coaching Operations Information System (COIS), Coach Maintenance Management (CMM) pilot. First two modules of application are already deployed over IR, third module Coaching Maintenance Management (CMM) pilot was made Go-live at three pilot depots namely, BCT/WR, NDLS/NR and LKO/NR. The CMM application is built on the core of an EAM software MAXIMO. Apart from this the Central Application has been made available to all Zonal Railway HQs on 25.11.2013. It has modules on Passenger complaints, Contracts 11 of 23
monitoring, Machinery & Plant, Coach Condemnation, Pit charts, Special drives, Project tracking, Trial monitoring, Budget trains and Documentation. ICMS infrastructure was set up in 2005-06 and asset has become overdue replacement as servers are running 9 th year. Sanction of the Detailed estimate has been received. Five new reports have been implemented for CMM in various depots. Detailed estimate for rollout of CMM project has been sanctioned by Railway Board. 6(b) National Train Enquiry System The National Train Enquiry System (NTES) is meant for providing updated arrival/departure information of passenger trains to the public through internet website (www.trainenquiry.com/enquiry.indianrail.gov.in) and nationwide rail enquiry number 139. Recently, new web interface alongwith mobile interface has been launched. NTES is the core application feeding information to all interfaces. A Mobile App & Desktop App for Window 8.0 platform has been developed and launched. A mobile Application for Android has also been launched. New version (v1.2) of NTES mobile app has been released on 27.02.2015 for Android and Windows with security features- encryption/decryption. 7 IR WEB PORTAL i. Complaint Management System (CMS) The Web Complaint Management System (Web CMS) can be accessed through the IR Portal home page, www.indianrailways.gov.in, complaint and suggestions section. It can also be directly accessed through the URL, http:// www.customercare.indianrailways.gov.in. Divisional Work Flow has been made online so that divisional level escalation can be configured. The SMS based Complaint Management System is also operational. ii. Cloak Room Application: This application is operational at New Delhi Station (Ajmeri Gate and Paharganj). Retiring Room: Retiring Room Application is now running at 483 stations through Terminals. At 483 stations booking for Retiring Rooms can be made on the Internet. 2015: Earnings from booking of Retiring Rooms during the month of August Booked on Terminals: Rooms Booked : 39,683 Net Earnings : `1,02,47,259/- Booked on Internet: Rooms Booked : 20,142 Net Earnings : `91,94,954/- Portal websites feel. All the 39 Websites have been migrated with standardized and uniform look & 8 MATERIAL MANAGEMENT E- PROCUREMENT SYSTEM (EPS) Implementation of E-Procurement System on all 16 Zonal Railways, 7 Production Units (viz. RCF, ICF, DLW, CLW, DMW, RWF and RCF/RBL) and RDSO, RAILTEL, Core/ALD and Metro Railway, Kolkata completed. More than 8.07 Lakh tenders have been uploaded by different Railways. 28,951 vendors have been registered on the system. 24,985 tenders issued through the system in August, 2015, and 548 vendors enrolled. E-Auction module software has been implemented in CR, ER, ECR, ECoR, NR, NCR, NER, NFR, NWR, SR, SCR, SER, SECR, SWR, WR, WCR Including 4 PUs RCF, ICF, DLW, RWF. Over `6984 crore worth of material auctioned through E-Auction system. Extension of E-Procurement System to Depots, Divisions and other units The detailed estimate has been sanctioned by Railway Board on 31.12.3013. MOU between NR and CRIS has been finalized on 28.03.2014. IREPS has been extended to 262 Depots/Divisions in Zonal Railway. MATERIAL MANAGEMENT INFORMATION SYSTEM Detailed estimate of Rs. 46.5 crore has been sanctioned. Local Purchase of immis being rolled out in 262 out of 300 Depots/Divisions in Zonal Railway and PUs. 13 of 23
9 ASSET MANAGEMENT LOCO SHED MANAGEMENT SYSTEM (LMS) Design & development of LMS - ROAMS has been started. Table structure for loco failure & loco holding functionalities has been prepared. Detailed Estimate of LMS rollout sent to Rly.Bd. Loco Master Data Management functionality developed. Punctuality Module design is being prepared. FREIGHT MAINTENANCE MANAGEMENT MODULE (FMM) Detailed Estimate for FMM rollout is prepared. FMM - ROAMS-YARD is under development. SOFTWARE FOR LOCOMOTIVE ASSET MANAGEMENT (SLAM) Pilot Phase completed in July 2014. Meetings held with GZB & TKD on 18/19.02.2015 for SLAM enhancement. Meetings held with GZB & TKD on 18/19.02.2015 for SLAM enhancement. Development & training setup installed and commissioned on 26.02.2015. Proposal for extending 4 sheds in SLAM i.e. BRC, BL, AJNI & BZA: Tender finalized and PO issued An estimate for 1 year AMC and ATS support for SLAM central server is prepared at an estimated cost of `1.02 cr. WORKSHOP MANAGEMENT SYSTEM (WISE PHASE II ) LOWER PAREL: Coaches Sub-orders & Assy. orders had been created by all the sections. Work Orders are released and job allocation, job assignment, FNIP and technical completion were carried out by almost all users. CHARBAGH: All rolling stocks after different schedules of DSL, DEMU were turned out through WISE. Data for leave module is under preparation. Casual Leave data of all the secs/shops were near completion. Booking of material through WISE has been started by DSL shop partially. Around 2500nos drawings and documents have been uploaded manually and approx 40,000 drawing are to be batch uploaded. Working closely with stores Management for quickly implementing IMMIS. Non Stock Requisitions were being prepared in Wise system for material procurement. RAIPUR: Gang wise attendance reportsare being generated through WISE for use in Incentive Report. Attendance marking is regular in all Shops. Problems encountered in Body I & Body II are being rectified. 14 of 23
Lalaguda: Training has being given to staff inside the workshop to mark attendance, generate stock and non-stock indents and IR sheets. Generation of indents has being done at the respective shops. Online attendance marking system has being implemented at EDP Center, CTR, Millwright, Trimming, Tinsmith and Corrosion shops.material consumption pattern has been generated for CB & UF Store. LILUAH: The issues like coach roll out, coach stages, berthing, intershop items like DV has been fixed. Some more TCs has been configured to production system.network problems in YD, SSE/CORD/MR, MR/BL are fixed. Proposal for upgradation of BSNL leased line has been approved by CWM and is awaiting DyGM s approval. Data entries in yard, MR BL, AB- L,MR/AB are done regularly. HMIS APPLICATION FOR RAILWAY HOSPITALS A Committee has been formed in Board to scrutinize all aspects of the application. TURNKEY IMPLEMENTATION OF ERP AT ICF, CHENNAI MOU for Operations and Maintenance Contract with ICF for Rs. 3.27 crore has been signed between FA&CAO/ICF and GGM/ERP/CRIS. Pending implementation issues are being corrected. Supplementary O&M MOU for 2014-15 with the revised estimate has been vetted by FA&CAO/ICF. Necessary communication from ICF is awaited to sign it. Integrated ICT System project at RWP-BELA, PATNA/ BIHAR An MOU has been signed on 12.12.2012 for setting up of integrated ICT system at RWP-BELA, Patna, Bihar. Integrated ICT System project at Rail Coach Factory at Rae Bareily Work of setting up of Network has been awarded. Work of setting up of data-centre has been awarded and work is in an advanced stage. Gate Attendance devices have been received & part commissioned. Complete review of project has been done with CME & CPM/RBL. Further review has also be done with CDE/IT who has recently taken over. All pending issues were discussed. RBL would be confirming the next sequence of action to be taken. 10 PARCEL MANAGEMENT PARCEL MANAGEMENT SYSTEM (PMS) Parcel Management System was inaugurated by Shri Suresh Prabhu, Hon ble Minister for Railways on 27.12.2014 at Mumbai in which GM/Central Railway, Sh. S K Sood and GM/Western Railway, Shri Hemant Kumar were also present in this occasion. Commissioning of PMS terminals completed in NDLS-BCT corridor. Commissioning in progress at remaining corridors NDLS-MAS, HWH-CSTM, HWH-MAS. Expansion of Hand Held Terminals for TTEs Tender document prepared and likely to be finalized & issued shortly. Replacement of HW at Central Site CRIS Tender document prepared; awaiting sanction of Detailed Estimate for finalization and floating. Activities performed during the month (Track Management System): Complete stores module is under process of enhancement for clear identification of material location: a. New module has been developed for changing the class of material from Second hand to Unserviceable/ Scrap. b. Ledger/Material Balance report has been enhanced. c. Ledger adjustment module has been enhanced. d. ART module has been developed for users of Track Depot. OMS: Module has been enhanced for integration of new file format generated by new OMS machine commissioned in Ahmedabad Division. Railway Affecting Works: Design of Railway Affecting Works has been completed during the month. Activities performed during the month: A new report was created to view item wise details of each Rate Reference uploaded for proposals related with Track Renewal plan head. A utility was provided to print the Unit Rate Reference report in PDF format containing details of item wise breakup along with sub estimate of other departments. Short listing of Proposals screen was modified to let the Drop Down List of Budget Year increment automatically whenever budget year changes. Facility was provided in Filling of outlay for I1 works screen to fill the Pink Book No for each work, along with allocation wise outlay. Module wise application progress during the month is as follows: Control Room Messaging (CRM), Special Intelligence Bureau (SIB) and Crime Records and Registers (CRR) Modules, Miscellaneous Crimes (MC) and Monthly Crime Review (MCR All are working in live environment and no major problem reported during the month. Revenue Estimate amounting to Rs. 99.56 lacs for O&M activities of RPF Security Management System (RSMS) has been sent to Railway Board for onward action after having been concurred by Northern Railway finance. All India RPF Security Helpline for passengers Railway Board had decided to launch a Manual RPF Security Helpline in Northern Railways in the month of February 2014. Railway Board through an order subsequently decided to extend the manual RPF Helpline as initiated in Northern Railway to other Railways as well. The order however did not mention anything about the future course of action for IT enabled RPF Security Helpline Project sanctioned as Plan Head 17 Project in 2010-11. 19 of 23
17 Electrical Projects EEMS Electrical Energy Management System Scope of Work is development of Website for Centre of Excellence (COE) and Pilot demonstration of Energy Efficient Technology on IT platform. a. The EEMS website and Application for manual Data entry forms for various Energy Data Modules were designed, developed and deployed on test bed environment. b. Rail Saver Website has been now secured and available on public network through secure URL https://www.railsaver.gov.in. c. Tender for Pilot demonstration of Energy Efficient Technology on IT platform through 500 AMR Meters has been opened on 15.05.2014 and Technical evaluation of the Tender is completed and PO has been issued on 31.10.2014. TDMS Traction Distribution and Management System The scope of Pilot project is to design, develop and implement the system on two divisions of Central Rly / Western Rly. Current Status: The revised detailed estimate for four Divisions sent to Railway Board / CEE(NR) /CEE(WR) for sanction. Railways Electrical Network Masters have been designed and being tested. Jurisdiction Master being tested. Existing Railways Network data of TMS has been ported into TDMS Database. 18 OAEW Projects SECROADS E Working AMC Scope of Work Operation and Maintenance support of the SECROADS including minor modifications to the application software. The system is under remote support from 1 st April 2014 through resource posted at CRIS HQ office. Work undertaken during the month: Created new reports in LAP/LHAP/Leave encashment applications showing in a particular time frame. Created a new replica of File movement and tracking application on one of the clustered server by replacing old one to resolve replication and consistency issues. Searching issue in Manual file tracking system application by creating new indexes after deleting old one has been fixed. Changes made in Print preview page of LAP application, added details of extension and cancellation also. Changes made in Proprietary Article Certificate approving conditions of Non- Stock Indent application.
