FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS esupersaver Scheme ABOUT SCHEME Q. What is esupersaver Scheme? A. esupersaver Scheme is a promotional scheme ( Four ecoupons) available up to 31 st March 2016. Valid for single user only for travel in Business Class on select Air India domestic sectors in India. The scheme is offered in two variants: esupersaver scheme up to 750 kms** : Valid for travel between domestic sectors where the distance is up to 750 kms esupersaver scheme all sectors : Valid for travel on all domestic sectors Business Rules are also detailed in Terms and Conditions mentioned on the Home Page of https://ota.airindia.in/esupersaver/def.aspx Q. What flights are available for esupersaver? A. Air India operated flights with Business Class configuration. Air India Code share flights are excluded. Q. How do I book a esupersaver? 1. Visit our website www.airindia.in and click on the banner. 2. You would be directed to the home page There are two stages : Stage 1: Buy esupersaver Step1 Select the booklet you would like to purchase : esupersaver booklet of up to 750 kms or esupersaver booklet for all sectors Step 2 Register as a New User or Access as a User. Step 3: Register the Traveller s name who will be using the scheme. Step 4 : Make the payment through Valid Domestic (Indian) Credit Card(s) - MasterCard and Visa or Valid Indian Debit Card(s) - MasterCard or Visa or Maestro Internet Banking (direct debit) via select valid Banks in India. -02- Stage II: Redeem esupersaver Step1: Click on Redeem esupersaver Coupons Step 2 : Enter User Name and Password Step 3 : Click on the Booklet you would like to redeem. Step 4 : Enter the sector of your choice and undertake booking. Step 5 : Agree to the terms and conditions Step 6 : PNR and Itinerary Receipt would be created and emailed at the registered address IMPORTANT The booklets are for single user only and in case you would like to buy for another family member or friend, the same has to be bought separately. Q. What is the sale validity of a esupersaver Scheme? A. The esupersaver scheme is saleable on website www.airindia.in up to 31 st March 2016. Q. What is the travel validity of a esupersaver Scheme? A. 180 days from the date of issue of the esupersaver Booklet on the date of purchase of the scheme. As an example: (esupersaver Booklet issued on 1st April 2015 would be valid for redemption and travel with 180 days validity up to 27 th of September 2015). PURCHASE OF BOOKLET Q. Where can I purchase this scheme? A. On our website www.airindia.in. Q. Can I purchase the esupersaver scheme through some other channel? A. The esupersaver scheme is for sale on www.airindia.in only. Q. Can I purchase the tickets with my credit card if I am not travelling myself? A. If the cardholder is not a part of the traveling party, then the passenger should possess: A photocopy of both sides of the card, which will have to be self-attested by the card holder authorising the use of the card for the purchase of the ticket. For security reasons, please strike out the security CVV digits on the copy of the card. The photocopy should also contain the name of the passenger, the date of journey and the sector on which the journey is made. The above document MUST be produced at the time of check-in. If the passenger fails to comply with these conditions, Air India reserves the right to deny boarding to the passenger(s). The details mentioned above do not apply for net banking. Q. Can I book my ticket online and pay later? A. Currently we do not offer this service online. The full payment has to be made at the time of purchase of esupersaver Coupons. Q. Can I use more than one card for my payment if I have a credit limit on my card? A. No. For one transaction only one card can be used for online booking.
-03- Q. If I book my esuper Saver flights online, how will I get my tickets? A. After you book your travel, the system will generate your itinerary receipt vide email.you will need to print the receipt sent by email and produce it at the airport along with your valid photo identification for check-in. Q. I did not receive a booking confirmation on the page. What should I do? A. You should have received a copy of the receipt at the email address you entered during the booking process. Please check that the email has not gone into your Junk Mail folder. You are required to print and carry this receipt to gain access to the airport and to check-in. Alternatively you could write to esupersaver.helpdesk@airindia.in Q. What are the time restrictions of buying a ticket online? A. Online booking is available for all flights up to 2 hours before scheduled departure time. Online booking is available for any flight, with a scheduled departure up to 330 days in the future. Q. What should I do if I forget my password? A. If you forget your password, please click on the Forgot Password link on the Login page. Your password will be emailed to the email address in your profile. Q. What is the free baggage allowance A. 35 kgs Q. What are the refund rules? Fully Unutilized esupersaver Booklet: Refund of fully unutilized esupersaver Booklet is valid for one year from the date of booklet expiry at a charge of Rs 2000 (Rupees Two Thousand Only per booklet). For refund the passenger may please contact esupersaver.helpdesk@airindia.in Partly Utilized / Expired Booklet: Partly utilized or expired esupersaver Booklets are non-refundable. (Once any esupersaver Coupon of the Booklet is redeemed into eticket will not be eligible for refund) e-tickets: Once the e-ticket has been issued the same will not be eligible for refund Q. Can the validity of ticket be extended? A. The validity of the unutilised esupersaver Booklet cannot be extended. However e-ticket (generated on redemption of ecoupon) can be extended ONCE only beyond the expiry date, maximum up to 02 months at a charge of Rs 2000 ( Rupees Two Thousand Only), per sector from the date of expiry of e-ticket. For extension you may please contact the nearest Air India Booking Office or Air India Call Centre. Q. Is the scheme combinable? A. Not combinable with any other promotion/discount/discounted fare/special fare. This fare also cannot be combined with any other fare to create one way, round trip, circle trip or open jaw fares. -04-
Q. What are the revalidation charges? Change in the date of travel / flight number permitted till 01 hour before departure without any additional charge. Change in sector not permitted. e-tickets can be revalidated (upon no-show) i.e. less than one hour of departure or after departure of the booked flight at a charge of Rs 2000. (Rupees Two Thousand Only), per sector. The validity of e-ticket would from the date of issue of the esupersaver Booklet. For revalidation the passenger may please contact the nearest Air India Booking Office or Air India Call Centre. Q. What are the conditions of carriage? The carriage of passengers and their baggage by air shall at all times be subject to the Conditions of Carriage of the carrier concerned. Please read 'Air India Limiteds' -"General Conditions of Carriage" for Passengers & Baggage handling, which shall govern all the aspects/conditions of Carriage of Passenger and Baggage. Q. My flight was downgraded and flew in Economy Class? A. In the event of involuntary downgrading of aircraft from Business Class to Economy Class the passenger would have an option to either: Revalidate / Re-issue the e-ticket for later travel without any applicable charges. (The validity of the revalidated / reissued e-ticket would be 180 days from the date of issue of the esupersaver Booklet) Opt for refund in difference of fare (Discounted esupersaver Business Class Base Fare minus the Lowest Economy Class Instant Base Fare), if any. For refund, email to esupersaver.helpdesk@airindia.in with supporting documents. Q. Do I accrue frequent flyer miles? A. In Flying Returns, Z Class accrual would be 200 % of the base miles. Passenger, if member of Frequent Flyer Programme of any member Star Alliance carrier is also eligible for accrual of miles, as per the business rules of the respective programme, of which s(he) is a member. Accruals are applicable on member undertaking the journey. Q. What are important points to remember? esupersaver Booklet as such is not a valid document for travel. The ecoupons of esupersaver Booklet would have to be converted to an e-ticket using redemption option on the website. esupersaver Booklet --------------------------------- e-ticket(s) Redemption It is the responsibility of User to keep their mailing address, contact numbers and email address up-to-date. Selling, bartering including attempting to sell by means of Internet based sales or an auction is not permitted. In the event of any misuse Air India reserves the right to block the account. User shall keep their web account log in Password confidential at all times and undertake not to divulge the Password to any other person under any circumstances whatsoever and shall not permit any unauthorized person to use their Password. -05-
