1 Would you like to check in for your flight at the airport? Then why not use the Lufthansa check-in machines? You will be able to obtain boarding passes for yourself and any travelling companions quickly and conveniently at these whether you are travelling with or without baggage. On the following pages we will once again describe how easy it is to check in. 2 Easy check-in Identify yourself simply by means of your name and booking code, scan your machine-readable passport or use your EC, frequent flyer or credit card. Check if your travel details are correct and confirm this with Issue boarding pass. Take your boarding pass. 2

3 Easy Check-in Simply hand in your baggage at the baggage drop-off counter. Selecting another ticket If several airline tickets are available, these are displayed in the summary. Please select the relevant flight. Check if your travel details are correct and confirm with Issue boarding pass. 3

4 Changing your seat Would you like to choose your own seat? Touch Change seat. Touch a vacant seat on the screen. heck if your travel details are correct and C confirm with Issue boarding pass. 4

5 Adding travelling companions If you are travelling with other people, you can check them in as well. There is just one condition: you must all be booked on the same flight on the same day. After identification, touch Check-in additional passenger. Identify your travelling companion by means of the booking code, by EC, frequent flyer or credit card or by scanning your machinereadable passport. If you wish to add several travelling companions, repeat the process. Issue the boarding passes. 5

6 Adding your frequent flyer card Would you like to add a frequent flyer card to your travel details? Touch Add Frequent Flyer Card. Enter your card Check if your travel details are correct and confirm with Issue boarding pass. 6

7 Upgrading to a higher travel class How to redeem your accrued Miles & More award miles for an upgrade to the next highest class of travel: Touch Upgrade against miles. Select your upgrade. ow check your travel details and confirm N with Issue boarding pass. Please note: the Upgrade against miles option only appears if, for example: your Miles & More card number has been stored; you are travelling alone; you are not already travelling in the highest class. 7

8 Changing your flight Would you like to take a flight other than the one for which you have already checked in? Touch Change flight. Now you will be shown details of the possible flights for the next 23 hours. Choose a flight from the list provided. 8

9 Checking in for your return flight If you have booked an outbound and return flight and your return flight takes place within the next 23 hours, you can also check in for this flight. If you do not wish to check in for your return flight, touch No check-in for return flight. 9

10 Entering entry/visa information If you are checking in for a long-haul flight, you can enter your entry information immediately. Identify yourself and then just touch Continue. The system now checks whether you have to provide further information for entry into your destination country. If further documentation is required, please place your passport on the scanner. Now select your type of visa. If you already have a visa, please scan this too or type in the document number via the screen. Now verify your travel details and confirm with Issue boarding pass. 10

11 Irregularities If you are unable to check in for your booked flight because it has been cancelled, for example, you will be informed once you have entered identification details. An alternative flight will also be suggested to you. If you choose to accept this, simply touch Continue so that you are able to issue your boarding pass. Checking in with infants If you are travelling with a baby or toddler, this will be shown in your summary. 11
