Wall Mount Installation and Use 1. Introduction The Wall Mount works the same way for all Touchfire cases - the one or two row magnet strip on the back of the case is magnetically attracted to the Wall Mount. We recommend that you mount your ipad in Landscape Mode. When the cover is open, the ipad should be mounted with the cover folded in half and rotated around to the back of the ipad. Your Touchfire keyboard can be stored inside the half-folded cover. The magnet strip should be above the half-folded cover: One or two row magnet strip Cover Folded in half Home Button Cover Tab at bottom 2. Installation When choosing your Wall Mount s location, remember that your ipad is considerably bigger than the wall mount. An easy way to take this into account is to attach the Wall Mount to the back of your case and then use the case as a size and location guide:
Now place your ipad on the wall where you want to mount it, and please confirm: The Wall Mount is resting evenly and flat against the wall surface There is ample wall space (we recommend at least 1 inch) all around your tablet, so it will be easy to take it on and off People and things (like cabinets, picture frames, drawers, doors and other objects) won t bump into your tablet during normal use If you were to accidentally slip during removal, your tablet won t fall into sinks or other sources of water Note: Do not stick the Wall Mount on non-structural surfaces like windows, mirrors, or screens. When you are happy with the location, slide your finger behind the tablet to get a sense of where the top corner of the Wall Mount is. Leaving your finger to mark the spot on the wall, pull the ipad away. Now use the included alcohol wipe to gently clean the wall surface where the Wall Mount will go. After wiping, allow at least 15 seconds for the surface to dry. Peel off the red protective adhesive liner on the back of the Wall Mount. Push the Wall Mount against the wall surface and apply a moderate amount of force for 60 seconds. The adhesive tape takes 72 hours to achieve full strength. You may begin using the wall mount immediately. However, we recommend that you not leave your ipad attached for longer than 3 hours at a time until 72 hours has passed. After that you may leave your ipad attached to the wall mount for as long as you like. Now attach your ipad to the Wall Mount. Your tablet is most stable when the top edge of the folded cover is pushed up against the lower edge of the Wall Mount: Slide your ipad up until the top edge of the folded cover touches the bottom edge of the Wall Mount
3. ipad Power Cable Attachment Option The hole on the top of the Wall Mount can be used to neatly attach the ipad s power cable to the Wall Mount, making recharging easy and convenient. After the Wall Mount is adhered to the wall, push a small zip tie or a stiff piece of wire through the hole until it emerges from the top back side. Lay the recharging cable on top of the Wall Mount and cinch the zip tie closed or twist the two ends of the wire together. Be sure to leave enough length of recharging cable on the right so that it can reach the ipad s power connector.
4. Wall Mount Removal The adhesive used in your Wall Mount is very tenacious so care should be used when removing. You ll need a hair dryer and a thin, strong string or wire. Warning: Do not attempt to pry the Wall Mount off with a screw driver or a knife. This can damage your wall surface. Please follow these steps: 1) Apply high heat from a hair dryer for 1 to 1 ½ minutes with the tip of the hair dryer close to the front surface of the Wall Mount. High Low 2) Quickly align the string diagonally across the top BACK surface of the Wall Mount as shown below. 3) Pull down on the string with both hands and start moving the string back and forth with downward pressure, making saw-like strokes. 4) The adhesive will start separating from the back of the Wall Mount. Work your way down through the entire adhesive. Be sure that you are always pulling downward on the string - don t pull the string towards yourself. The metal Wall Mount will be very warm to the touch when it finally separates completely, so take care when handling it. 5) Pull the remaining adhesive off the wall, balling it up and rolling it off of the wall. You may need to reheat the adhesive by applying full heat from your hair dryer for another 30 to 60 seconds. You can order a replacement adhesive pad from www.touchfire.com. The replacement adhesive is two-sided; you will stick the replacement adhesive to the back of the Wall Mount, and your Wall Mount will be ready to be reused.
