ADB - ICT Strategy Three Thrusts in ADB s ICT strategy: Toward E-development in Asia Pacific (2003) o Creating an enabling environment in terms of ICT policy and infrastructure, o Building human resources with ICT literacy and ICT professional skills, and o Developing ICT applications and contents in ADB-supported projects and activities

ICT sector in ADB ADB s Long-Term Strategy as well as its Midterm Review emphasize a greater role for using ICT in achieving our development goals. In 2014, ICT is classified as a separate sector from Transport and ICT ICT has dual features both a sector and an enabler. ADB s ICT Projects by Sector ADB has supported 444 projects with ICT components from 2000 to 2012 No. of ICT-related Projects by Sector (2000-2012) Transport & ICT 18% Water & Other 4% Agriculture 9% About 30% of those are loan projects Public sector management,education, Transport & ICT sector are biggest in No. of projects However, Infrastructure (Transport, Water, Energy) is the biggest in amount of investments Public Sector Mgmt 19% Multisector 11% Health & SP 4% Industry & Trade 7% Finance 9% Education 16% Energy 3%
