Roles and Career Project experience I was involved in numerous Oracle Consulting engagements, including Oracle Applications implementations and upgrades, analytical and technology based projects. My role in projects ranged from programmer, through technical expert, team leader, designer to quality reviewer and project manager. Common project activities involved communication and interaction with diverse project stakeholders and parties like technical support for tools and products, international developer teams, off-shore consultants, customer technical and business employees, external auditors and others. A list of projects crucial to my professional development is included as an appendix to this CV. Organization roles and career I was employed by Oracle Poland as a technical consultant and programmer. My main focus was Oracle Designer and Oracle Developer Suite technologies. After I spent a few years in these areas, Oracle Consulting in Poland started to develop Oracle Applications team. During the first big applications project in Poland I was asked to join the emerging applications team and to form a technology group there. I was perceived as the team leader for this group as it quickly turned into a formal AppsTech team within the Applications Service Line. The team was recruiting and training programmers, mainly working as long term, exclusive contractors. In the following years the team grew up to around 10 people. Oracle Consulting was always recognized in the market as the service supplier assuring top quality and standards-aware customizations and integrations for Oracle e-business Suite. In the years 1999-2000 I was assigned the responsibility of preparing and implementing guidelines for programmers regarding the year 2000 problem. My responsibility was to prepare documentation outlining programming standards to guarantee safe year 2000 (as well as 2001) entrance for our customers systems, train our team in those guidelines and audit existing custom development and e-business Suite implementations regarding the year 2000 problem.
In the year 2003 I passed the PMP (Project Management Professional) exam organized by PMI and acquired the PMP title. In the year 2006 I was assigned the responsibility to prepare the QMS (Quality Management System) document and to acquire the ISO 9001 certificate for Consulting. I was coordinating the creation of the QMS document gathering and clarifying business procedures used by the service line. The document was published, discussed within the organization and implemented. The certification audit for the organization was scheduled and executed by auditor from BVQI (UK). The certificate was granted to Oracle Poland Consulting organization. After the successful ISO certification process I was assigned to act as the Quality Manager for Consulting. My role was to assure that the QMS procedures are observed and documented in the conduct of the business. I was auditing projects and business development process and developing the QMS documentation. I was relieved of this role a year later, after a successful renewal of the certificate. My informal team leader role for the AppsTech team within Consulting was formalized and reflected in organizational hierarchy of Oracle Poland Consulting in 2008. I was managing the AppsTech team since that time and my responsibilities included assigning team and personal development tasks to team members, reviewing job performance, supervising project assignments, recruitment of new team members, deciding about annual bonuses for the team etc. Also since 2008 I started to gain experience as the technical architect, taking part in bidding processes for future customers. My role was to inspect RFI/RFP requirements and to respond to them, execute the preliminary architecture design and overview, size the hardware requirements for the projected system. In 2011 I passed the PRINCE2 Foundation project management method exam.
