MISSION The mission of the Center is to advance patient care and research in Parkinson's disease and other movement disorders including tremor, dystonia, restless legs syndrome, and Huntington's disease.

MISSION The Center emphasizes clinical and translational research, testing new medical and surgical treatments for movement disorders to serve as a national leader in the advancement of disease management to utilize this knowledge to provide the highest quality care to patients to educate students, residents, and other physicians.

Overview We are: a National Parkinson Foundation (NPF) Center of Excellence an active Parkinson Study Group (PSG) site.

Claim to Fame The Center has a national reputation as a high quality and high volume clinical trials and patient care center. The Center serves as a referral base for the middle third of Florida, extending south to Naples, east to the East Coast of Florida and north to Tallahassee.

Critical Elements A clear focus on clinical care, research and education. A directed clinical focus to achieve significant enhancement for the care of individuals with Parkinson s disease and other movement disorders. Outstanding clinical trials staff and infrastructure. A record of academic productivity. Strong participation and high visibility in national and international education programs. A mission of collaboration with partners in basic science and industry.
