INSTRUCTION MANUAL 044-0-T TO RS4 INTERFACE. Equipment Description The 044-0-T To RS4 Interface goes in position,4,,or of a Wegener Model 0 or 5 mainframe or position of a Wegener Model 0 mainframe. The T Interface Card receives T data and converts it to RS4 clock and data and simultaneously receives RS4 clock and data and converts it to T data. Three jumper straps select line lengths from 0 to 55 feet. The unit provides BZS/AMI encoding and decoding. It connects to DSX- cross connects and the RS4 interface is compatible with Wegener data products.. .4 Installation -The T Interface Card receives T data and converts it to RS4 clock and data and simultaneously receives RS4 clock and data and converts it to T data.. Set jumpers JP - JP5 as desired (see Figure. and Table and Table ). Install the 044-0-T To RS4 Interface in position, 4,, or of a Wegener Model 0 or 5 mainframe or position of a Wegener Model 0 mainframe. See Figure... The T input and output goes to J. The RS4 input goes to J4 and the RS4 output goes to J. 4. Figure. shows connections of the 044-0 with a T subcarrier modulator (0-9) and a T subcarrier demodulator (0-9). Figure.4 shows the cable between the RJ45 connector and the pin white connectors used in this setup. Figure.5 shows the 044-0 edge connections and a section of the Wegener 0 and 5 backplane. .0 Circuit Description Block diagram - Figure.0 shows the block diagram for the 044-0. The 044-0-T To RS4 Interface receives T data and converts it to RS4 clock and data and simultaneously receives RS4 clock and data and converts it to T data. Three jumper straps (JP, JP, JP) select line lengths from 0 to 55 feet. The unit provides BZS/AMI encoding and decoding by selection of JP4 (receive side) and JP5 (transmit side). T data goes through transformer T into IC, U which provides the T processing necessary to provide RS4 clock and data which is output via U. RS4 data is received by U and sent to the T processing IC, U. The T data out of U goes to transformer T. U also lights red LED, DS when loss of signal is detected (alarms when 5 consecutive zeros have been detected; normal when a.5% ones density signal returns).
