Biography Kevin P. Lavender is Senior Vice President and Managing Director of National Commercial Banking for Fifth Third Bank. He is responsible for overseeing the National Commercial sales teams which include: National Healthcare, Large Corporate, Mid-Corporate, Energy, Government and Financial Institutions. Mr. Lavender joined Fifth Third Bank in 2005 as Senior Vice President and Head of National Corporate Healthcare Lending. Prior to joining Fifth Third Bank, Mr. Lavender served as Commissioner of the Tennessee Department of Financial Institutions, with oversight responsibility for all Tennessee state-chartered depository and non-depository financial institutions. He served as co-founder and Executive Vice President of MediSphere Health Partners Inc., a private specialty health care facilities company. He began his Nashville career as Group Vice President of corporate healthcare lending with SunTrust Bank, Inc. in 1986. Mr Lavender earned a bachelor s degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Finance from the University of Georgia. He attended multiple courses at the Colgate Darden s School of Banking at the University of Virginia. Mr. Lavender also attended multiple sessions with SunTrust Credit University. 2

Biography Nikki Sumpter is Senior Vice President of Human Resources and Learning for JPS Health Network in Fort Worth, Texas. In this role, Ms. Sumpter is responsible for developing and executing the JPS People Strategy for more than 6,000 team members. Ms. Sumpter leads the human resources division, network education and learning, occupational health and wellness, and diversity and inclusion functions. Prior to joining JPS in March 2012, Ms. Sumpter was employed with Carolinas HealthCare System, in Charlotte, NC, where she served in human resources for over 15 years. Being a human resources leader for a public health care system with more than 60,000 employees positioned her to grow recruiting efforts, increase employee engagement, and improve learning opportunities for team members. Ms. Sumpter earned a master s degree in Human Resources Development from Villanova University. Additionally, she is a certified Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) and a Corporate Leadership Council Human Resources Leadership Academy Graduate. She is a member of the Society of Human Resources Management (SHRM), American Society for Healthcare Human Resources Administration (ASHHRA) and American College of Healthcare Executives (ACHE). 3

Biography Steven T. Sullivan is a Vice President in the Houston office of Pearl Meyer & Partners. His primary focus and expertise is advising compensation committees and senior management teams within health care organizations on executive compensation matters. Mr. Sullivan has over 20 years of consulting and industry experience assisting clients in executing their strategic human resources and compensation initiatives. Prior to joining PM&P, Mr. Sullivan was a Director at Verisight, Inc. (formerly McGladrey s Human Capital Services Practice). He also previously served as a Senior Manager with Ernst & Young LLP s National Human Capital Practice, providing advisory services to both public and private companies; as a Compensation Manager for Andersen Consulting (Accenture). Mr. Sullivan holds a B.A. from Gustavus Adolphus College, an M.A. from California State University and has completed all academic studies toward an Industrial/Organizational Psychology Ph.D. at the Illinois Institute of Technology. 4
