4 Our Team LNC Partners was formed by a cohesive team of senior partners from a leading middle market investment platform. The Managing Partners have worked together for over a decade and collectively have over 40 years of middle market experience. Prior to co-founding LNC Partners, Mr. Kelty was a Principal at Allied Capital Corporation, where he was involved in originating, evaluating, executing and monitoring mezzanine debt, secured debt and control investments across a broad range of industries. He served as a director or observer on the Boards of Directors of several portfolio companies, and also led a niche strategy focused on insurance services that produced several proprietary investment opportunities. Matt Kelty Managing Partner kelty@lnc-partners.com Before joining Allied Capital in 2004, Mr. Kelty spent three years at Blue Point Capital Partners focused on control equity investments in lower middle market companies. He began his career in the Fixed Income Division at Lehman Brothers. Mr. Kelty received his B.A. magna cum laude with a major in Chemistry from Williams College. Robert Monk Managing Partner monk@lnc-partners.com Robert M. Monk is a Managing Partner of LNC Partners. Prior to co-founding LNC, Mr. Monk was a Managing Director and Investment Committee member of Allied Capital Corporation, where he was involved in originating, evaluating, executing and monitoring mezzanine debt, secured debt and control investments across a broad range of industries. He has served as a director or board representative on the boards of 30 lower middle market companies. He began his career at First Union National Bank in Charlotte, NC after earning his bachelor s degree in Business Administration from the University of Georgia. Prior to co-founding LNC Partners, Mr. Raterman was a Managing Director at Ares Management LLC, where he was responsible for originating, evaluating and monitoring debt investments across a broad range of industries. He managed relationships with a multitude of financial sponsors and financial intermediaries and served as a director or observer on the Boards of Directors of his portfolio companies. Mark Raterman Managing Partner raterman@lnc-partners.com Prior to joining Ares, Mr. Raterman was a Principal at Allied Capital Corporation, where he executed numerous mezzanine debt, secured debt and control equity investments. Before joining Allied Capital in 2002, Mr. Raterman worked at Wachovia Securities, providing M&A advisory and private placement services. Prior to joining Wachovia, he began his career at Chase Securities (now JP Morgan Securities), primarily in the Leveraged Finance Group, executing syndicated loans, bridge loans, and high yield debt. Mr. Raterman graduated from the University of Virginia with a B.A. in Economics.
5 Kevin Cunningham Principal Dan Higgins Principal Kevin Cunningham is a Principal at LNC Partners. Prior to joining LNC Partners, Mr. Cunningham was a Vice President at Ares Management LLC, where he was responsible for originating, evaluating and monitoring debt and equity investments across a broad range of industries. Prior to joining Ares, Mr. Cunningham was a Vice President at Allied Capital Corporation, and before that he was an Investment Associate at BancBoston Capital. He began his career at Thomas Weisel Partners. Mr. Cunningham graduated from the University of Virginia with a B.S. in Commerce and received an M.B.A. from Columbia Business School. Dan Higgins is a Principal at LNC Partners, and is primarily responsible for originating, analyzing and executing new investments and monitoring portfolio companies. Prior to joining LNC, Mr. Higgins was a Vice President at Allied Capital and a Senior Associate in the Transaction Advisory Services Group of Ernst & Young LLP.
