QUAD E1/T1 PMC NODCOM QUAD E1/T1 PMC is a PCI Mezzanine Card (PMC) designed for operations over up to 4 E1/T1 interfaces connectable to ISDN PRIs, CAS/RBS trunks, V5 links, SS7 Signalling Data Link and with capability to process up to 128 channels in HDLC mode. Operations are very versatile upon resident software and could be: ISDN signalling module ISDN protocol converters (ISDN variant to ISDN variant) ISDN to CAS protocol converters ISDN RAS on 128 bearer channels V5 to V5 Gateway (V5.1/V5.2, V5.2/V5.1) V5 Engine-4 E1 E1/T1/J1 frame captures for monitoring ISDN/CAS to V5 gateways SS7 MTP1 and MTP2 NODCOM QUAD E1/T1 PMC is an active Signalling engine (ISDN, V5, SS7) with passive HDLC capability over 128 channels. QUAD E1/T1 PMC ISDN SIGNALLING ENGINE SOFTWARE ARCHITECTURE The software architecture is based on the NODCOM architecture which is close to the ISO/CCITT X.200 model. All protocol entities are managed as isolated objects communicating through a datagram message passing scheme. The message passing is based on FIFO queue communications. The entities of the system are housed in processes (one or several entities in one process) managed by an AMX 68000 (KADAK) real-time multi-tasking kernel. When the origination and destination entities are in the same process the message passing is done through an internal FIFO without need of AMX scheduling. When the two entities are in different processes the message passing is done using AMX message exchange management. The software code is downloaded through the serial port to Flash memories. The product management: configuration, audit, log is done through an UART serial port or through the Dual-port memory and could be done through the network using a Remote Control function.
