Last updated: 4 September 2015 Reporting practices for domestic and total debt securities While the BIS debt securities statistics are in principle harmonised with the recommendations in the Handbook on Securities Statistics, in practice small differences across countries remain. Differences in the data underlying the domestic and total debt securities statistics are summarised below. Central banks are continuously improving the coverage and quality of the statistics reported to the BIS.
