Corporate Mobility.
Keeping your business mobile. MTN provides technically innovative, reliable and secure voice and data communication solutions designed to manage costs, improve efficiencies and deliver consistent quality all backed by a unique customer service experience. As one of the key means of communication, data networks are used by many organisations for internal communication as well as interaction with suppliers, partners and customers. As a result, data connectivity to a large extent becomes differentiated with many local Internet service providers (ISPs) offering data connectivity and managed solutions. As a leader in the field of telecommunications and data connectivity, MTN provides end-to-end solutions from device to Internet, intranet and VPN connectivity. The MTN Corporate Mobility offering gives clients the ability to access a private network even though it is actually implemented over the MTN public network. This provides a managed and secure mobile solution extending access to a corporate private network wherever MTN has coverage.

MTN Secondary APN. MTN understands that many large corporate firms rely heavily on data networks to support their business-critical applications. With redundancy in our infrastructure in the form of geographically dispersed access points, part of this redundant offering is our Secondary APN product which allows you to develop your applications to seamlessly utilise two access points. The benefits of MTN Secondary APN. Always on access. New and existing corporate mobility clients provisioned with an APN, which allocates a static IP address, have the option to link with the Secondary APN. Increased continuity and reliability. In the event of a loss of connectivity to the Primary APN, a Secondary APN is available to your configured application. In the event of any service disruption, the Secondary APN provides redundancy for mission critical applications. Routing. The Secondary APN contains the prefix r, i.e. the existing Primary APN is mtn.co.za. The Secondary APN is r.mtn.co.za. Selection between APNs is quick and can be easily performed manually or automatically from the customer device. Shared data bundles. Data calls routed through the Secondary APN share a single common data bundle loaded on the Primary APN. Redundant APNs offer a shared bundle and seamless access for the depletion of this bundle. Continuity Planning. Primary and Secondary APNs reside in different geographical locations. By providing alternative access paths into the company network, MTN can assure clients uninterrupted and reliable service.
