Furthermore, the islands system, wherein each room not only operates independently but is also connected to the main network, ensures that no independent failure brings the entire hotel system to a standstill. These readers are capable of independently managing their entries and exits in such a manner to be able to operate even without requiring other devices of the same hotel series. SCR-ALB04 is provided with a USB interface (compatible with 1.1 and 2.0 USB specifications), which allows directly interfacing the programmer to a monitoring PC for programming the transponder card and/or programming all 125kHz hotel management devices. In order for item SCR-ALB04 to operate, it is required to be connected to a PC provided with a special card programming software supplied as a kit. There are two types of software: the first basic one intended for the end user and a more technical one meant for installers and/or technical assistance centres.
