The KTH ICT research platform Initiate Multidisciplinary and Collaborative Research across School Borders Enhance effective KTH planning and response to large ICT related research calls In collaboration with other platforms act on cross-disciplinary challenges internally and externally Provide input for the planning of large-scale ICT related Infrastructure Investments for the future at KTH. Provide a comprehensive interface to society and industry: Communicating, demonstrating and marketing the academic, social and economic impact of KTH research Support ICT research groups with Business Intelligence when needed 3

Todays Topic Promote KTH competitiveness for doing large applications to the EU FP7 and Horizon 2020 FET Flagship initiatives, ERC Synergy Grants, and EIT KICs Technology Platforms The goal is to stimulate interaction between the ICT related groups at The KTH Schools in terms of common grant applications also assuming other external and internal partners. The very simplified task chosen for the group work is supposed to give a insight into how to go about formulating a skeleton for a joint application. Realistically many large applications will be strongly crossdisciplinary and will therefor typically cross platform borders. A natural follow up event would be to start from ideas generated today and summon to a Cross platform day (with one or more platforms)
