Qualifications Experience Ph.D. with first class or equivalent at the preceding degree in appropriate branch and evidence of the ability to pursue independent high quality research. Assistant Professor : At least 3 years' teaching/research/industrial experience. (The candidates should be preferably below 35 years of age for the post of Assistant Professor) Scale of Pay Perks Assistant Professor: Rs.12, ,300/- plus allowances as admissible to Central Government employees. 1. Initial grant up to a maximum limit of Rs. 5 lakhs for carrying out research projects. 2. Full funding for attending national conferences either for presenting a paper or chairing a session as per Institute guidelines. 3. Financial assistance up to Rs.1.00 lakh once in 3 years for attending International conferences for presenting a paper or chairing a session as per Institute guidelines. 4. Reimbursement of 75% of membership fee of one international professional society every year. 5. Contingent grant as per Institute rules. 6. Reimbursement of telephone charges up to Rs.750 per month. Accomodation Suitable residential accommodation as per rules will be provided on the Campus of the Institute on joining the Institute.
