Contact persons Vulnerable road users: Investigation of perceived safety and comfort among wheelchair-seated passengers in STS (Special Transportation Services Färdtjänst ) EU-project: The project Taxis for All aimed at developing new vehicles for integrated transport services. It was a joint effort between CCLT Cranfield University (UK), Lund University, The Swedish Road Administration and a number of manufacturing companies as well as PTA:s and operators. Doctoral project: The project Vehicles for integrated transport solutions aimed at developing methods for assessment and enhancement of perceived safety and comfort for passengers with special needs. An environmental ergonomic perspective was used. Older drivers: Participation in an international group, focusing older drivers and driving cessation. Lund University contributed with a European literature survey. EU-project: The project EuroAccess - For an European Accessibility of public transport for people with disabilities contains various aims. The current part deals with user needs, user organization perspectives and development of planning frameworks, supporting accessible public transportation. EU-project, guidelines: PROCEED is conducting research into public transport operations in small and medium sized cities and on how to improve its attractiveness to the users, its efficiency and effectiveness. It is a project under the Thematic Priority 1.6.2 Sustainable Surface Transport and the Objective 1 «New technologies and concepts for all surface transport modes (road, rail and waterborne» (subtopic High quality PT). EU-project, dissemination: ACCESS2ALL: Within the European 7th Research Framework (FP7), researchers from CASE together with 8 other European partners, have submitted a Coordination and Support Action proposal. The proposal, called ACCESS2ALL has recently been approved. Starting in September 2008, the aim is to exchange experience on accessible public transport by arranging a series of work-shops for policy makers, user organizations, planners/practitioners as well as researchers. The following is a sample of assignments, of which I have taken part as a project manager: STS accidents: The aim of the project was thus to utilize a travel chain perspective, in order to make a best estimation of incidence and costs for injury incidents, related to Special Transport Services in Sweden. Furthermore, the drivers perspectives were particularly acknowledged, regarding ergonomic and organizational culture aspects. 2004-2007 SRA. Linköping University (subcontractor CPTA Organization: Sweden is about to face major changes in the regional, administrative and legislative structure. These changes will most certainly affect the existing CPTA structures and therefore also regional and local public transit. The overarching objective of the current project will be to disclose existing CPTA structures, and provide a basis for institutional changes in order to promote efficient, successful and financially sustainable public transit.
