The LED Generation. For Schréder, it is innovative, intelligent and responsible. We have developed a complete range of LED luminaires across all our business sectors: street lighting, urban lighting, tunnel lighting and illuminations. These products reflect our desire to continue Right Lighting, by offering technological solutions that make this new light source a valid alternative to traditional sources. To do so, we have developed concepts that will make LEDs the new instrument of our ambition - to offer the lighting solutions of tomorrow. POWERFUL PHOTOMETRIC ENGINES OrientoFlex Schréder has developed two photometric engine concepts to cover every type of street and urban lighting application. Oriento and OrientoFlex. Photometric engines that maximise the luminous flux on the roadway by meticulously orienting LEDs. The OrientoFlex also allows numerous types of light distribution by varying the orientation and number of LEDs to meet better the specific needs of each application. LensoFlex. A photometric engine that builds on the flexibility offered by a selection of lenses developed by Schréder, with the goal of creating ambiances and meeting the needs of urban lighting. ENERGY AND ECOLOGICAL FOOTPRINT LensoFlex Our luminaires are designed with an eye towards sustainable development. They can be characterised by a number of commitments: To use energy rationally, via highly effective photometric engines; To reach required levels while complying with international standards; To maximise energy savings through intensity variation (dimming) and remote management systems. Our LED luminaires also offer the following advantages: Long LED service life and reduced maintenance costs; Recyclable and durable materials, such as glass and aluminium; Compliance with our Green Light label. RELIABLE SOLUTIONS To offer reliable, durable and effective solutions, Schréder has developed two concepts: ThermiX ThermiX. Optimise heat extraction to maintain 80% of the nominal luminous flux (*) at 60,000 hours of use up to a maximum ambient temperature of 35 C. This concept is based on several factors: Thermal compartmentalisation between the LEDs and the control gear; Direct conduction by minimising the path between the heat source and the outside; Optimised design of the external heat exchange surface; A temperature sensor to avoid accidental overheating. (*) 70% for certain luminaires LEDSafe. To ensure a long service life by preventing dust and water from getting into the optical compartment, Schréder has implemented the LEDSafe system. This is based on the idea of a completely sealed photometric engine. Protected by glass, the LEDs and lenses do not come into direct contact with the outside environment. This helps to ensure that performance is preserved over time. LEDSafe UPGRADABLE TECHNOLOGY In our latest luminaires we have developed the FutureProof concept. This will allow on-site replacement of the photometric engine or electronic assembly at the end of an LED s service life, and thereby allow users to integrate future innovations. FutureProof UNIVERSAL DESIGN We have been engaging renowned designers to help us better incorporate our products into their daytime and night time environments. led generation

ORIENTOFLEX, A POWERFUL PHOTOMETRIC ENGINE Senso luminaires are equipped with the OrientoFlex photometric system. This system is made up of precisely placed LEDs which are equipped with carefully selected lenses. The OrientoFlex also allows the direction and number of LEDs to be varied, based on the required lighting intensity and photometric distribution. The LEDs are grouped together in modules in the shape of an arm joined to a central axis. Each module itself is positioned depending on the desired photometric distribution. The system s flexibility allows for it to be adapted to the specific needs of any project. It can meet any specific lighting need and in particular takes into account the true dimensional aspects of the surrounding environment while reducing unwanted effects such as glare. senso IP 66 electrical compartment. Power supply and adjustable dimming system (or remote management system) is mounted on a removable gear tray which can be easily replaced. Thermix : short, direct thermal path for better heat extraction. The design of the photometric engine meets the FutureProof concept. It can be replaced on-site to take advantage of any future technological developments. Optical compartment - IP 66 LEDSafe. Completely sealed by a curved protective glass, self-cleaning and extra-clear for optimal transmission of luminous flux. Die-cast aluminium cover, painted. LEDs in warm white or neutral white (optional). Side-entry or vertical mounting. Adjustable inclination system (optional). Embellishment for side-entry mounting (optional). OrientoFlex : this photometric engine allows for precise positioning of the LEDs for use in a multitude of road lighting applications. The LEDs are equipped with lenses supplied on an arm joined to a central axis. Durable and recyclable materials: die-cast aluminium body, painted and glass protector.
ThermiX : THERMAL MANAGEMENT We have developed the ThermiX concept with the aim of optimising the multiple parameters that are involved in LED thermal control: Thermal compartmentalisation between the LED and electronic control gear; Direct conduction: the transmission of heat takes the shortest path between the source and the exterior; Optimised design of the heat exchange surface with the exterior; The printed LED circuits (PCBs) are fitted with a temperature sensor to prevent any accidental overheating. The ThermiX concept is ideal for maintaining a luminous flux of 80%, compared with its initial value, for a minimum of 60,000 hours, up to a maximum ambient temperature of 35 C. LEDSafe and EXTRA-CLEAR GLASS To maximise the reliability of our LED luminaires, we have incorporated the LEDSafe system. Similar to Sealsafe, which is recognised as a bench mark in traditional source public lighting, the LEDSafe is built on the concept of having a photometric engine which is completely sealed. Enclosed by a glass protector, the LEDs do not come in contact with the outside environment. They are therefore protected from damage caused by dust and water. The glass protector ensures the performance of the LEDs and lenses over time and is self-cleaning. Moreover, this extra-clear glass has a slightly curved shape to reduce absorption. This increases the luminaire s performance in luminance levels by 10% compared with a flat non-treated glass protector. HIGHLY EFFICIENT POWER SUPPLY The Senso luminaires are equipped with power supplies. They ensure 90% efficiency and fulfil Safety Extra Low Voltage (SELV) requirements. The supply current is limited to 350mA for optimal LED efficacy and maximum life time of the equipment. The power supply also offers increased protection against unpredictable power surges. Each LED circuit has a temperature sensor that reduces the power supply by 70% in the event the temperature exceeds the maximum authorised - for example, when the network administrator switches on the luminaire during the day (for maintenance, testing, etc.), with a particularly high ambient temperature. Input of 1-10V, allows a user to integrate a dimming system to optimise energy used. FutureProof Senso luminaires are designed to meet our FutureProof concept. The photometric engine and power supply are both replaceable on-site, to take advantage of any future technological developments. senso THE GREEN LIGHT For more details and to follow the progress of accredited configurations, please visit our website. senso
senso ENERGY CONSUMPTION Senso luminaires have demonstrated remarkable photometric performance. For example, for the Senso 1 (62 LEDs) used on a 7m-wide M4 classification road, according to CIE recommendation No.115, the installed power to handle the required luminance level of 0.75 cd/m2 is less than 0.6 W per m² of road and per cd/m² required. This also takes into account the depreciation factors for both the LEDs and the luminaire. For 4000 hours of use per year an for 100m of road, this corresponds to a consumption of less than 3.2 kwh/day, or emissions of less than 1.5 kg CO 2 /day (according to the European average of 0.46 kg CO 2 /kwh). The flexibility of the OrientoFlex photometric engine can allow multiple luminous distributions so that it can better respond to the needs of the application. Additionally, the option to vary the number of LEDs enables the nominal power of the luminaire to be precisely adjusted, based on the space requiring to be lit. On a project by project basis, our team is on hand to provide you with a range of solutions using LEDs or discharge lamps. As the specifications for each project become clear, so the right solution emerges, bearing in mind any restrictions you may face. INTENSITY VARIATION (DIMMING) FOR GREATER SAVINGS Senso luminaires are equipped with an autonomous intensity-variation system, making it a great way of reducing energy consumption up to almost 30%. The programmable levels range from 1-5. The various dimming levels are handled daily and automatically depending on the length of the night. Unlike traditional light sources, the LEDs allow the intensity to be reduced to very low levels while maintaining the same colour temperature and the same colour rendering index all without losing its efficiency. The luminous flux is in fact reduced by practically the same proportion as the energy use. 100% 66% 40% Energy savings Lighting class evolution L ave based on traffic (cd/m 2 ) M4 0.75 (100%) M5 0.50 (66%) M6 0.30 (40%) 23hoo 0h30 4h30 5h00 This table shows the recommendations of the CIE (ongoing work by technical committee TC4-44). This adjusts the light classification of the road based on traffic density. This reinforces the appeal of having luminaires equipped with an adjustable dimming system. MEMPHIS, THE MOBILE REFLECTOMETER Thanks to the Memphis road surface reflectometer, we can precisely determine the amount of light for the right light based on the type of surface. Memphis allows multiple in situ readings of the reflective characteristics of the road without causing damage to it. By associating Memphis with the OrientoFlex system, we are able to determine precisely the number of LEDs and their distribution needed to obtain the most adapted photometry. This combination offers the ideal solution for a rigorous dimensioning of a lighting installation and ensuring that energy use is optimally controlled.
REMOTE MANAGEMENT FOR MAXIMUM CONTROL (OPTIONAL) Senso luminaires can also include the OWLET remote management system. This open-source bidirectional communication system is based on the principle of radio frequency via ZigBee protocol. It offers numerous advantages: Total flexibility of control of luminous level and time slots; Real time feedback on status of light; Accurate measurement of energy use; Adjustment of power level: Virtual Nominal Power; Autonomous compensation system for flux depreciation over time: Constant Lumen Output; Independent of the supply network. MOTION DETECTOR (OPTIONAL) A motion and presence detection system can be an additional effective tool in urban settings for a more rationalised use of energy. senso
