Summer Academic Programs

GET A PREVIEW OF COLLEGE AT CARLETON COLLEGE S Carleton faculty members and student assistants help motivated high school students like you develop the critical thinking and creative problem-solving skills you need in college and beyond at our intensive three-week summer academic programs. You can expect to gain both depth and breadth of knowledge in your field of interest through our three-course curriculum that balances a substantial project in a core course with two supplementary courses that expose you to other aspects of the field. Plus, all of our programs require on-campus residency, so you ll have plenty of time to explore Carleton s beautiful campus and discover what life at a residential college is like. Carleton College is one of the best liberal arts colleges in the country, and our summer programs will give you the chance to experience firsthand how rewarding studying at a top school can be. Our professors are talented teachers who will help you see the world in new ways. You ll meet other smart students like yourself, including current Carleton students who will introduce you to campus life and guide you through challenging and fun program activities. Plus, all of our programs offer college credit that is accepted by Carleton and many other colleges and universities. The small classes and setting was nice. I m used to 30+ people classes, and have been looking for colleges with small class sizes, so this gave me a good experience for the inclusiveness and detail of small classes. WE THINK YOU LL LOVE IT HERE, AND WE RE NOT THE ONLY ONES. Every class was truly taught at a college level, and we had new material every day. I got a chance to prove to others, but most importantly myself, that I can handle the college life and shouldn t be afraid to follow my dreams. HERE S WHAT OTHERS ARE SAYING ABOUT CARLETON: #1, commitment to undergraduate teaching U.S. News & World Report, 2014 #2, national liberal arts colleges (in contribution to the public good) Washington Monthly, 2014 #8, national liberal arts colleges U.S. News & World Report, 2014 #16, American colleges and universities Forbes, 2014 Upper Midwest s premier liberal arts college Fiske Guide to Colleges, 2014 One of the most scenic college campuses Bing.com/travel
