Dan Young, Chair Dan Young is president of Irvine Community Development Company LLC (ICDC), an affiliate of The Irvine Company responsible for all residential development on The Irvine Ranch. Mr. Young came to the Irvine Company after a 20-year career as a real-estate developer and consultant to the industry. His community involvement includes 11 years on the Santa Ana City Council, including eight years as mayor. In his official capacity as mayor, Mr. Young also served on the board of directors of several regional agencies, including: the Metropolitan Water District and the Orange County Transportation Authority. Mr. Young received his bachelor s degree from California State University, Fullerton, and his master s degree in Public Administration from the University of Southern California. Jeffrey Randolph, Vice Chair Jeff Randolph is Managing Director at Morgan Stanley for a team of investment professionals that manage approximately $2.7 billion of client assets. Mr. Randolph has many years of experience in the financial sector including as founder and president of Avalon Financial Group, a regional investment/advisory firm active in commercial real estate investments. He is a licensed real estate broker and member of ICSC and MBA. Mr. Randolph is the co-founder and executive committee member of Building Block Foundation Fund, a philanthropic organization for the commercial real estate industry that brings together real estate professionals to support a common goal. Leslie Carter Leslie is currently the Vice President Network Management for UnitedHealthcare responsible for contracting and maintaining the fee for service physician network statewide in California. Accountable for Hospital and Medical Group/IPA Commercial and Medicare Advantage contracting in San Diego, Imperial, Riverside, San Bernardino and Orange Counties. Leslie has held numerous senior levels positions in the health care industry for over 20 years. She currently holds a Masters of Business Administration degree from California State University, Long Beach and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of California, Irvine. Alex Fortunati With a career spanning more than three decades, Alex Fortunati is among America s leading facilities maintenance experts today overseeing one of the fastest growing company of its type in the United States and Canada. His story is also a symbol of the American dream. Mr. Fortunati founded Support Services of America in 1996 and has since then built a nationwide team of janitors, handymen, security personnel and environmental specialists thousands strong across the United States with more than 2,500 sites under contract and extensive experience in retail stores, healthcare facilities, federal buildings, military installations, and childcare centers. Mr. Fortunati received his Masters in Business Administration from Pepperdine University and is certified in Human Resources Management from UCLA. Richard Heim Richard Heim is President and CEO of the Western Region for Clark Construction Group-California, LP. He currently oversees more than $2 billion of construction in California and Nevada on a variety of project types. With over 30 years of construction experience, Mr. Heim has led the development of Clark s presence in the Western Region by outstanding leadership while maintaining the company s long standing reputation for quality and integrity. He received a bachelor s of science in building construction from the University of Florida and an M.B.A. from Auburn University. Richard has been involved in a number of community endeavors including as chairman of the 2009 HeartWalk, Taller San Jose Honorary Board, Rebuilding Together Long Beach and Santa Margarita Catholic High School. Richard and his wife Jamie are members of Holy Trinity Parish. and Bishop s Construction Advisory Board for the Diocese of Orange

Christopher Leo Chris Leo joined St. Joseph Health System in 2005 after serving as Chief of Staff for Lou Correa then State Assemblyman and Orange County Board of Supervisor. He is a member of the Santa Ana Planning Commission. Chris has also practiced corporate law, including international financial transactions. Chris is a member of the State Bar of California, the Hispanic Bar Association, the Board of Taller San Jose and the Public Law Center. Mr. Leo received his bachelor s degree in Economics and Business from the University of California, Los Angeles. He has a LLM in International and Comparative Law from Georgetown University, and a law degree from Gonzaga University. and Public Law Center William Murin Bill Murin is Executive Vice President, System Services for St. Joseph Health System. Mr. Murin oversees the Human Resources, Legal, Compliance, Advocacy and Communications departments at the System level for SJHS. Mr. Murin has extensive experience in employee and labor relations, workforce planning and diversity, compensation and benefits, leadership continuity, and human resource information systems. Prior to his current role at SJHS, Mr.,. Murin served as Vice President, Human Resources for St. Joseph Hospital in Orange, California from 1992 to 1996. His professional background also includes seven years as Chief Operating Officer at Huntington Memorial Hospital, a 525-bed trauma and teaching facility in Pasadena, California, and senior HR executive positions with Southern California Healthcare Systems, Telecredit Corporation, and First Interstate Services Company. A graduate of Loyola University of Los Angeles, Mr. Murin holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science., Mission Hospital and Health Research Association (HRA) Sister Mary Rogers, CSJ Sister Mary Rogers, CSJ is a member of the General Council of the Sisters of St. Joseph of Orange. Her responsibilities include the oversight of Regina Residence Retirement Center, the Sisters of St. Joseph Ministry Fund, and Healthcare Foundation of the Sisters of St. Joseph. Sister Mary is also the General Council Liaison to Taller San Jose and Bethany, Assisting Women in Transition. She sits on the Audit Committee for Taller San Jose. Sister Mary also serves on the Board of Trustees and the Finance Committee for St. Joseph Health System, Sonoma County. Previously, Sister Mary was the Associate Director of Taller San Jose. She served on the Sisters of St. Joseph Formation team as the Candidacy Director. Sister Mary served in Elementary Education for 40 years as both a teacher and administrator. Bernard E. Schneider, Past-Chair Bernie Schneider is an attorney in private practice representing financial institutions, investment entities and private companies. Previously, he was a capital partner of McDermott, Will & Emery, in Irvine, Calif. He has been an attorney, shareholder and managing shareholder for Buchalter, Nemer, Fields & Younger, a Professional Corporation located in Newport Beach, California and an attorney and shareholder of Virtue & Scheck Lawyers, also of Newport Beach, Calif. Mr. Schneider earned a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Whittier College and a Juris Doctorate from the University of Southern California. He is a Member of the State Bar of California and the American Bar Association. He is also Chairman of the Board of Directors of Commerce National Bank, N.A. and a Member of the Board of Directors of First American Trust, F.S.B. His legal associations include serving as General Counsel for the Anaheim Ducks Hockey Club and the Honda Center. He and his wife, Janet Keller, have five children and reside in Laguna Beach. Christopher Smith Fr. Christopher Smith has served as a priest of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Orange for over 31 years. He holds a Masters in Divinity from St. John s Seminary and a Masters in Religious Education from Fordham University. He has served in a number of capacities in the diocese, including Parochial Vicar, Director of the Office for Religious Education, Vicar for Religious Education, and 15 years as Pastor of St. Joseph Church in Santa Ana. Robert Velasco Rob Velasco is a Program Delivery Manager for Dell Perot Systems in partnership with St. Joseph Health System. Mr. Velasco is originally from Minnesota where he founded numerous businesses including as a technology training company that held an exclusive contract with IBM in the upper-midwest. The company achieved $40 million in annual revenue with 125 employees in three states offering training, technology sales, project management and technology consulting services to a nationwide base of customers. As a result of his own experiences growing up, Mr. Velsaco is passionate about assisting those from disadvantaged backgrounds and has done so both personally and professionally. Mr. Velasco received his bachelor s degree from Augustana College in Business Administration. He is a former member of the Board of Advisors for the Ira Fulton School of Engineering Entrepreneurship Program at Arizona State University. Angela Wergechik Now in her 15th year at Honda Center, Angela Wergechik is the Vice President of Finance for Anaheim Arena Management, LLC (AAM). In her current role, she is responsible for the overall financial planning and management of AAM, including the annual development of the budget, business and capital improvement plans and monthly reporting. Wergechik holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in accounting from Loyola Marymount University and became a Certified Public Accountant in 1993. When away from the office, Wergechik donates her time to the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance program (VITA), an IRS tax organization.
