INSTRUKTION 2015-06-03 11.00 D 2010-002382 2(22) 1 INTRODUCTION Welcome to AROWeb AROWeb is LFV s Internet-based system for selfbriefing. The system is incorporated into LFV s information service in Sweden. Pilots and others involved in flight operations can use AROWeb to send their flight plan to FPC for forwarding. Flightplans that are sent via AROWeb are checked, after which response to the flight plan is obtained by the customer in the form of an ACK message (approved flightplan) or an REJ message (flightplan not approved). Via AROWeb there is also access to AIS and MET information from FPC s operating systems. Connection to AROWeb can be made from a computer or a mobile device with an Internet connection. The web browsers that have been used to verify current version of AROWeb is stated on the bottom of all pages. 1.1 How to use this guide The goal of this user guide is not to explain every field and function in detail. Instead, the focus is on describing the various user situations you will encounter. 1 Start by learning the conventions that are used to describe commands, functions, etc. 2 Then, learn how a flight plan is processed before you get a response from AROWeb. The system overview gives a good picture of how AROWeb communicates with you and surrounding systems. 3 Look at the description of symbols to learn the graphic status symbols for a flight plan. 4 Read the section: Overview of AROWeb. This will give you a general description of navigation and interface. 5 Finally, the various user cases for AROWeb are described in the chapter Using AROWeb. You can use this chapter as a reference when you are working with AROWeb. 1.2 Questions, error reporting and support If you find errors in this guide or if something is unclear, if you want help with various functions in AROWeb or if you need to report an error in any function in AROWeb, you will mainly use the contact form under Contact us. If you have a problem that needs an immediate response or if AROWeb is completely out of service, you can always reach FPC by telephone. FPC: +46 8 797 63 40 User Guide 2

INSTRUKTION 2015-06-03 11.00 D 2010-002382 10(22) 4 WORKING WITH FLIGHTPLANS 4.1 Send new flightplan Go to the Flightplan page To create a new flight plan, click on New. A blank flightplan form will then be displayed in parts in the middle of the window. When you click in the field, you will always get help with how the various fields in the flight plan should be completed on the right-hand side. Each part of the flightplan must have a green check before you will be able to submit the flight plan. You do this under preview and send (airplane icon). AROWeb validates the information you enter and if necessary, will encourage you to correct or complete data. Please note that flight plans must be submitted well before take-off. For IFR, this means at least 60 minutes before EOBT and for VFR at least 30 minutes. The flight plan will now appear on the list of Unanswered flightplans. See section 4.4, Read flightplan response. 4.2 Send test flight plan You can test your IFR flightplan before you submit your final flightplan with the function Send test flightplan (paper airplane icon). The flightplan will then be sent to IFPUV where it will be checked and returned to AROWeb. Submitting a test flightplan is done the same way as for a regular flightplan, except that after you have filled out the flightplan form you click on Send test flightplan. You may then submit an approved test flight plan like a regular flight plan: Mark the approved test flightplan in Answered flightplans and then click on Create flightplan A new FPL form will now come up with the information from the test flightplan completed. Fill in DOF, PIC and telephone number where you can be reached until EOBT. Check that the other information matches what you want to submit, and then click on Send and wait for a response. Go to the Flightplan page. By clicking on Import ATS, a new page will now come up with a text box where you can paste in an ATS-FPL, which you have already created in your operating flightplan programme. User Guide 11

INSTRUKTION 2015-06-03 11.00 D 2010-002382 12(22) Click on ATS, which will transfer the information to a new form. User Guide 12

INSTRUKTION 2015-06-03 11.00 D 2010-002382 13(22) 4.4 Read flightplan response Normally, you read your flightplan response under Flightplan but you can also see and open unread flightplan responses from the Letter icon. To check responses to flight plans, click on Answered flightplans under flightplan to bring up a list. The flightplans you have not yet checked are marked in bold type in the list. For a description of the various icons, see chapter 9, Symbols. The description shows in a simple manner what type of response you have received to the various flightplans. Mark the flight plan you are interested in by clicking in the list. The flight plan will now be displayed to the right. User Guide 13

INSTRUKTION 2015-06-03 11.00 D 2010-002382 14(22) 1 Copy flightplan Here, you make a copy of the flightplan 2.Print out flightplan Here, you print out your flightplan 3. Archive Here, you archive a selected flightplan In the list of Answered flightplans, you can also hide flightplans that are you are no longer interested in: Mark the flightplan you want to remove from the list Click on the Archive box. The flight plan will now disappear from the list Answered flightplans. If you remove a flightplan in error, it is possible to recover it by calling FPC. 4. Cancel flightplan, see section 4.6, Cancel flightplan Here, you cancel your flightplan 5. Delay, see section 4.7, Delay flightplan Here, you delay your flightplan 6.See history Here, you will see the whole history of the flightplan User Guide 14

INSTRUKTION 2015-06-03 11.00 D 2010-002382 15(22) 4.5 SMS notification of flightplan response AROWeb has a built-in SMS function that you can use to follow-up responses from FPC. To use this function, you complete the field: Phone number for FPL SMS reply. If you click on the Use default link, the SMS number which you registered in your profile will be entered. The response gives a brief description of status obtained on submitted flightplan. This means that you do not need to wait by your computer for the go-ahead. At FPL_ACK, no further control is required of the flight plan. FPL_LONG_ACK and FPL_VFR_ACK do require however that you go to AROWeb and check the response from FPC/IFPS. 4.6 Cancel flightplan To cancel a flight plan click on Answered flightplans under flightplan to retrieve the list of answered flightplans. Mark the flight plan you want to cancel by clicking in the list. Click on Cancel (one-way icon). You will be asked whether you really want to cancel the flightplan. Click OK and await response. To check the answer, the same approach is used as under section 4.4, Read flightplan response and/or 4.5, SMS notification of flightplan response. 4.7 Delay flightplan To delay a flightplan, click on Answered flightplans under flightplan to retrieve a list of answered flightplans. EOBT must be 10 minutes ahead in time. Mark the flightplan you want to delay by clicking in the list. To the right, the most recent incoming response to the flightplan you marked is presented. Click on Time. Enter EOBT. Click on Send (airplane icon) and await a response. Please note that DLA should not be used in AROWeb to delay a flightplan from one day to another. First, cancel (CNL) the flightplan and then submit a new one with updated date of flight (DOF). Contact FPC if the flightplan is affected by flow restrictions (ATFM). To check the answer, you will use the same approach as under section 4.4, Read flightplan response and/or 4.5, SMS notification of fligh plan response. User Guide 15

INSTRUKTION 2015-06-03 11.00 D 2010-002382 16(22) 4.8 Using templates You can create profiles for aircraft and/or flightpaths, i.e., AROWeb can save information about aircraft and flightpaths that are often used. This makes it easier when you are going to fill out a flightplan you only need to enter a few pieces of information before you submit your flightplan. You can save profiles separately for aircraft and flightpaths. You then have the option of combining these. 4.8.1 Create flightpath templates To create a flightpath template from scratch, be sure you are under Flightplan. Click on Flightpath under using templates. A form will appear in the middle of the window. Fill out the fields. To the right of the form a help text is displayed like the one that is displayed when you fill out a flightplan. In the Name field you enter a name in free text. Then click on Save (diskette icon). The new flight path template will now appear in the list above with the name you provided. You can then edit saved templates by marking what you want to change on the list; click on the pen; change the form; and then save the template again. You can remove templates by marking a template on the list and then clicking on the trash barrel. User Guide 16

In the SIGMA-ARO, a check of the submitted flightplan is performed. Then, the IFR flightplan is sent to IFPS. After processing by IFPS, the flightplan is returned via SIGMA-ARO to AROWeb. VFR flightplans are processed by BO operators in SIGMA-ARO and are then returned to AROWeb. MET and NOTAM compilations are automatically entered into AROWeb and updated regularly. Under the Information and News headings, FPC s system administrators publish general information and current news. User Guide 21
